General Tactics:
The general idea is to advance on the objectives and blast any and all scoring units until they can't claim any VPs. The Leman Russ Battle Tanks (LRBT), Vanquisher, and Sentinels go tank-busting, while the Storm Troopers and Exterminator hose down infantry (preferably light and medium infantry). The battle cannons on the LRBTs will also fare well against heavy infantry, supported in that role by the Demolisher. With all the sponson weapons, the list should fare well against hordes as well, even without the battle cannons. The searchlights should ensure I maintain fire superiority in night fight scenarios.

Wargear/Doctrine Notes: Ace Gunners: Functions like Sharpshooters, but also allows the player to re-roll the scatter die for ordnance but not the distance die.

Machine God's Blessing: Negates the effect of lance weapons.

Anti-Tank Rounds: Gives a Leman Russ Battle Tank a non-ordnance shot that hits with normal BS and rolls 2d6 + Strength for armor penetration.

Total massacre. the Dark Eldar don't stand a chance. the Dark Lances won't work because of Machine Gods Blessing, and thats their only hope. everything else will just get gunned down. That exterminator is the DE's worst nightmare. They have pretty much nothing that can actually hurt the AC.

Armoured Company
Ouch. Poor DE no Lance effect spells thier almost certain doom. All those Dark Lances are reduced to plain old fashioned ML.

AC
Too many tanks. The cc prowess of the DE wont do much. All those pie plates and heavy eapons will spell their doom. The tanks will hold the objective and will not be disloged.

I vote for Armoured Company.
The only way the Blood Reavers would have a chance againt the Praetors is by lancing them to death, something the Praetoran player had the foresight to negate by means of the Machine God's blessing. The Praetors will open up on the Raiders with pretty much every non-ordance weapon they can bring to bear, and that is something they do not lack. The Exterminator is made for gunning down Raiders and their stranded occupants. Once the Raiders are toast, it's just a simple matter of pie-plate placement. The squads that present the biggest threat to the Praetors are the two footslogging dark lance squads and the Reaver squadron, and both can be dealt with at the AC player's convenience. Once the tanks of the Imperial Guard take the objective they will become as unmovable as Dark Angels, only these guys don't have anything to worry about. Damn, I feel wicked sorry for the person who plays the Blood Reavers in this match. He sure got a bad draw.

My Mission Vote is going to the Armored Company, and the Victorious Slaughter it will achieve.

The raiders are mobil enough to move around and kill the armoured company. However since the raiders are easy to kill Armoured Company
DE have almost no way to hurt the tanks, given the anti-dark lance thing. Therefore, I vote armored company
- i vote AC
-were it not for that upgrade, this would be an intresting battle, but the DE are totally doomed.
I was about to vote for DE pointing out the 8 Dark Lances, but, umm, Machine god's blessing... not much the DE can do about it. I might start an armoured company...

Armoured company
These kind of matches always make me feel empty inside. You can almost see the pain on the Dark Eldar players face. The weapon you rely on: worthless.

Armoured Company

Grr. I wanted to see the Dark Eldar win this one. There's no chance for them in this match.
I think AC is a bit overpowered for vote war...

I was thinking the same thing... well, I'm definitely considering changing my list to include anti-things-with-equivilant-of-machine-god's-blessing, and just ground tanks in general.
But still, there's problems with Armored Company. It'd DIE against Tau, but kill alot of other armies, no matter how they were constructed.

As long as you have alternatives, ACs shouldny be too hard. But the DE only has lance weapons to deal with tanks, and this is why the AC will most likely win. The only thing the DE player can rely on is his speed, trying to blast some side armor, but the AC player wont make it easy.

I vote AC

Absolute blood bath, the DE may as well not turn up, open topped vehicles and battle cannons = ouch for the DE, the tank company can even destroy the Raiders and then tank shock the DE of the board just for the fun.
The AC just moves to the centre of the board and stays there not even the lances can make a difference the DE will be feeling the pain in this one. I would not even like to play this AC with my Tau list.
The Ac actuall uses a very similar AC list to mine but I have more variation on the Tanks main weapons and I know how nasty it can be.

Massacre for Armoured Company
This just isnt funny.
Need i say more.

AC

Actually, you have to if you want your vote to count. And you need to bold your vote.
Maybe it would encourage the use of Haywire grenades in DE lists because they'd still work fine.

I just have one question before I vote. What(in the AC list) can hold objectives for the take and hold mission?

Do the Command and Elite tanks lose this ability since they are the closest thing to ICs in a AC list?
Okay the DE lances are useless(almost.)
The raider are ging to be blown up etc.

Everything in the AC list can hold an objective if it is mobile. Thier all vehicles and Tank Commanders/Aces dont change their basic status, they just cost more points.

Ezekiel, its a walkover stomp fest. Aidan doesn't need his vote to count DE are plain slaughtered.
See, this is why you should take at least half agonizers (instead of mostly punishers) and the occaisional Haywire Grenade. Well, I guess the agonizers wouldn't do much.

I vote AC for the mission simply because it is too hard to take down AV 14 with only essentially short range missle launchers and no real way to take them down with hth.
