Strong, extremely resilient list. Very difficult to amass sufficient high S weaponry to take out 2 wraithlords, 2 wave serpents, and 3 falcons. Mobile use of wraithguard in serpents; equal strength regardless of armour values. Strength versus MEQ in firepower and defensiblity, strength versus hordes in evasion (high maneouverability) and attrition until safe situations, at which point flamer death squads can exploit templates for casualties.

-the iyaden list is illegal, you can't take storm guardians in falcons as complete choices! thus, i am not voting

I don't have an Eldar codex to verify this - can anyone else verify this claim for me?
-the falcon is not a dedicated transport, its a separate choice, and unless this is changed under iyaden, then it's illegal
I vote eldar

Though the wraithlords will die to agonizers, the DE don't have the firepower to bring down many of the eldar tanks. Their tanks are fragile enough that they will be downed almost immediately and then they will be flamed by all 10 flamers and shot to pieces without any targets to really charge (put that in reverse order).
I vote ELDAR. I agree with the wamp. There are too many vehicles for them to take down.

spongebob, go through all the votes you've made and bold them. So far, none of the votes you've made will count, since none of them are bold.

While not dedicated Transports, they are Heavy Support. The Iyanden list simply has no Heavy Support, and only three Falcons were taken - so, they should count as Heavy Support, which would be legal.

Eldar Advantages

1) Mobility - Almost all of the units can move 12"+, which will greatly increase the Wraithguard's chances of getting close to where their Wraithcannons can do some damage.

2) Durability - We're talking about Wraithguard and Wraithlords here.. high T, good saves. Especially in a Take & Hold mission, which is where they shine.

3) Starcannons - Very nice on those WL's, which have a decent BS, and a high amount of high S shots, very easy to take out those Raiders, and Reavers, etc.

4) Vehicles - The DE list has nowhere near enough anti-tank firepower to take out five of the Eldar vehicles, which are known for their survivability. Not to mention, more Starcannons = more dead DE.

Not going to do the DE advantages ... doing both sides is hurting my head.

I vote for Iyanden.

Thanks for clearing that up LN - I've edited the list to make it more clear as to what is going on.
EDIT: darn it, it was already cleared up by the time I posted
Eldar

The Dark Eldar will get to the objective quickly, but lack staying power. The Iyanden are rock-solid in every aspect. They can hold it.

P.S. That is a beautiful Iyanden list. God bless you, whoever you are.
I vote Eldar for the mission as the DE will not be able to push all those eldar tanks and high toughness models from the objective.

The DE have too many punishers, and not enough agonizers and this one of the lists where it will cost them.

Fluffwise I abstain from voting because I've always had issues with craftworld lists going back an edition or two so I wouldn't be unbiased.
Eldar

The Dark Lances won't do enough to be effective, and although there is a lot of them, they need to be able to do more. Meanwhile, the returning Starcannons will kick the Dark Eldar in pretty sharp-ish.
If this was cleanse or straight kill-em-up I'd have a hard time discrediting the DE army. But in take and hold they just can't stay on it for very long without being ousted or the Eldar getting a good foothold. So the DE player should try to kill a bunch in cc and rush to the objective at the end. But with the shooting and tougher tanks, the eldar can counter this. 1 wych squad and the warriors aren't enough to make up for the superior shooting in cc.

I vote for eldar.
