Ok i need a list for this little tourney and i am going to be playing my crons. This is what i plan on fielding.

Necron warriors x10 (180 )

necron warriors x10 (180)

tomb spider x2 (110 )
staff of light

necron lord (130 )
staff of light
destroyer body

total=600

General plan is for the tomb spiders and warriors to pair up. This means the warrioirs can WBB if wiped out while the spider protects the unit if anything assaulty comes its way. The lord will targ small 5 man combat squads and helping out certain units if help is needed. He will also conest objectives and can join and leave both warrior units to provide protection or he can turbo boost. please feel free to comment ;)

As your lord is running around solo, is there a way to squeeze a warscythe on him so he can down vehicles? S5 can do it but that extra dice could really push it forward. Then again the staff is really nice for running down marine squads and the like, and could perhaps damage rear armor as well.

Also, Particle Projectors on Tomb Spyders are something I have seldom found as useful as their extra attack, the hit rate is pitifully low and not as damaging as their claws are.

I do solidly approve of this list though!

You could drop a tomb spyder to provide the pts for a ResOrb and warscythe for the D lord. 12" on the one spyder is plenty so you can still have a loose formation if you wish. With the warscythe and immunity to WBB negation, the D lord becomes a powerhouse unit in a small pts game. While the ResOrb can be used to provide WBB coverage for the warriors, its primarily to ensure that your lord has a chance for WBB should he get killed by a power weapon and the like.

If you drop one Tomb Spyder you can give the lord a warscythe and "escort" of 3 or 4 scarab swarms.

I do like the idea, though.

Yeah, you could give the lord an escort. But I wouldn't if it numbers less than 6-7 swarms. Anything less is, in my eyes, too easy a KP for the opponent (particularly since they'd want to kill that D lord ASAP).

While true, a turboboosting scarab unit is stupidly tough thanks to a 2+ cover save and at 600 points such a wall of wounds moving that fast will be difficult to stop for most other sensible 600 point lists.

I'm assuming they're forcing the Forced Org chart and not combat patrol rules? Too bad it's not 650, or even 610. Destroyers RULE!!!

460 for 2x10 warriors+lord
140 points to spend to 600...wish you had 150 for 3 destroyers.

Ok thanks for the advice guys. Just a few things firstly Dark trainer i thought the same as you and instantly tryed to fit some destroyers in there to my disapointment :( also particle projecters i would say are better than an extra attack as you have a 8 out of 12 chance of scoring a wound (counting as toughness 4) at ap3 and with the extra attack a 5 in 12 chance to score a wound at ap 2. You also have the advantage of the possibilty of hitting more often when you can only hit once with that extra attack and i am likly to be facing lots of marines in which case ap3 should be fine.
