750 friendly SW retinue

Drop Pod army obviously, with the scouts OBEL. would have liked to give the BC a melta gun or PF (or both) for hitting power, but alas, no points. have to rely on the VD and LS for anti-armor, which hopefully won't be to much trouble in a 750 pt. game. Any thoughts?

Very good list, the scouts could do with some meltabombs and/or power weapons but on the whole the list is good.

I personally think you are putting too much faith into the land speeder as it is terribly fragile, maybe driop it for some more scouts and some upgrades (like the powerfist you wanted).

Either way you can't go far wrong, great list!
I suggest you slim the Scouts back to 4 men with a meltagun to save points for gear for the BCs and GHs. Apart from that a fine list.

agreed on Araith.

Min/Max the Scouts by getting 4 with Meltagun for 66 points, saving 34 points.
From which you can get POWERFISTS. These for max efficienty for both squads.
You wil need 4 powerfist:
2 on the grey Hunters (30 pts)
and 2 on the Blood Claws (24 pts)
That means your 15 points short....
So you are to drop a Grey Hunter.
That leaves you with 3 points left, of which you can buy Smoke Launchers on your Venerable Dreadnought, which you can use, when needed. (and nicely fill up the points ;))
why not take a MultiMelta on your dread

i think between the dccw and AC he should hopefully have enough anti-armor, while i have thought about giving it a LC or MM, the VD seems like a pretty expensive heavy support choice.

you might have something there, but which one to drop/ the LS standard gives me anti-armor, while the LST gives great mobile fire support and moderate anti-armor w/ the rending. hmmm... If/when i lose, that will be the first to go.

100pts on scouts is pretty pricey (at 750pts) for a unit that won't last long, but w/ 4 scouts will they last long in CC (which is what i assume you would intend them for)? (4) scouts- meltagun, bolters 66
and add:
2 PF to both GH and BC
smoke for the VD

this leaves me with 38 points. i could drop a BC and add a WGPL with PF + bp and a wolf pelt (49 pts) which would leave me with 3 points left over. should i do that, or maybe just stick with Wolfbanes formula?

Well, OBEL Wolf Scouts don't have to be meant for CC. They can better be armed for taking out tanks from behind and a melta is perfect for that. If they die after it, so be it, they will have destroyed a tank almost twice their value.
If they survive, either kill another tank or send them in some fire support squad to keep them busy. Tons of uses, but they don't need to be kitted to win major battles. Btw, whether they're kitted for CC or not, don't forget they are after all Marines with T4, a nice save and They Shall Know no Fear.
