Since I Finished my Emperors Children army I thought i'd play another 2 is better then one huh? well here goes

HQ:

Commander:
Shas'o, TL Burst Cannon Fusion blaster shield generator

Bodyguard x2
1: TL plasma, missile pod, shield generator
2: TL missile, fusion, target lock

points: 218


Troops 1:

12 firewarriors, Shas'ui, bonded

points: 140


Troops 2:

12 Firewarriors, Shas'ui, bonded

points: 140


Troops 3:
12 kroot carnivores, shaper, 6+ saves

points: 116


Heavy Support:

3x XV88, multitracker

points: 225


Elites:

6x XV15, Shas'vre

points: 160


Total: 999 points


This is my first tau armylist and i havent bought anything yet so please im open for any and all suggestions, I will be fighting Space Marines mostly.

1.Change the bodyguards to elites as they have no hard-wired equipment.
2.Make the commander join them.
3.Is there any point in bonding?
4.Don't buy Kroot saves! most weapons ignore it and they rarely pass.
5.Why do you upgrade Fire Warriors to shas'ui, again no hard-wired equipment
6.Why does the stealth team ahve a shas'vre, again no hard-wired equipment

Get pathfinders with railrifles

yeah the Shas'vre are not worth the points unless you plan to give them markerlights and a target lock.

Bodyguard x2

If your gonna have twin-linked then get multi-trackers so you can fire all those weapons :p id suggest giving them multi-trackers rather than a target lock and maybe dropping the shield generator for drone-controller and 2 shield drones making up pts from the dropped Shas'vre.
