A couple things for tyranids

420 Views 4 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  Ostsol
I just got the tyranid codex and I currently don't have the 4th edition hardback rules book so i'm gonna need some help.

First of all is the Hormagaunts. It says it classifies them as beasts, whats that mean?

I also would like to know what scuttlers does, sometin to do with scouts, I dont have scouts!

Lastly is the feeder tendrils, whats the prefered enemy rule?

An answer to any of these would be mostly appreciated.

It is against the forum rules to explicitly describe the game rules. This forum is for requests for the clarification of rules that might be ambiguous or otherwise confusing. As such, for details on those rules you'll have to buy the rulebook. To be honest, though, with the forum's Search function you can probably also find answers that have slipped passed the forum rules. . .
Well, you really need the BGB, as it is essential. You can't play without it. And also, I don't think we're allowed to give out rules here, but hey...

Beasts could mean that you can run in the shooting phase, and assault twice your normal distance, but I'm not too sure... (Hint hint)

Preferred enemy lets the people with it always hit the enemy the best anyone posibly can in combat.

Scouts means people get to move before the game, just once.

But you probably don't understand any of this, as you don't have the BGB. Trust me, you really need to get it.

And Lovely, kind and friendly moderators, please forgive me if I am offending your majesties, and I will be eternally sorry if your holinesses are offended in any way. :shifty:

Yeah, 3rd and 4th Edition do actually share alot in common. The basic structure of gameplay hasn't changed and even some details are still the same. However, there are more than enough differences that the 3rd Edition rulebook isn't useful any more.
