Hello people, a brand-spankin'-new Bretonnian Duke (also new to Fantasy) here with a little dilemma. Now, I've heard I can -and probably should- keep hidden which magic items my characters have, but does the same apply to virtues? Am I allowed to withhold the information that my Lord is able to KB my opponent's Big Ugly Monster in close combat until said close combat begins, or do I have to tell them of the Virtues I have before the battle begins?

ps. Is it even true I can keep items hidden? I can't find it from the rulebook

It depends on the game you're playing. Most friendly games withhold information on magic items/special abilities given to characters.

Some tournaments use an 'open list' system, where all magic items and hidden features (fanatics, assassins) are revealed from the start of the game.
