The Necrotyr were at war with the eldar's creator, "The old ones" because they were jealous of their long life space. The necrotyr discovered the c'tan and started worshiping them who helped them wipe out the old ones. Then the c'tan made the necrotyr immortal by turning them into the necron, and they all went to sleep while they waited for the galaxy to fill up with more food for the c'tan.

The Eldar were specifically designed to beat the C'tan (C'tan hate the Warp that's why the Eldar are psychic) but the Eldar's psyche along with the other 'children races' made the Warp unstable and eventually destroyed the Old Ones strongholds leading to their demise

The C'tan were originally sentient lifeforms composed of pure energy. They were created at the birth of the galaxy and used to feed off the electromagnetic radiation from stars.

I'm not sure about the Warhammer/40K gods but the C'tan purged all life from their tomb worlds so Chaos (or as they called them 'The Enslavers') couldn't reach them. Chaos was created in the huge galatic war between the C'tan and the Old Ones. The Old Ones' creations started to cause disharmony in the warp, finally distroying the Old Ones' warp network and causing their downfall.

Yes basically. It is also rumoured that the C'tan are more powerful than Chaos (as the C'tan are composed of the raw energy of the galay) but the C'tan have no power in the warp (as it doesn't follow physical laws)

so that means that eldar and chaos and necrons all have histories of war against each other and are arch-emeies yes?
Take Chaos out of the equation and that'd be about right. The Eldar are the only ones to remember the wars the the C'tan/Necrons (green skinned Krorks who I suppose are the ancestors of the 40k Orks did fight in the wars but do you really think they'd remember?). And even then such records are banished to the Black Library. Only a handful of Eldar know of the Necron's past. Read the lore in the Necron codex for more authentic

A lot of this is pointed out in the Necron Codex and I think it adds a lot of fluff to the general history bit.

The Necrons war'd against the Old ones ( their is a race of frog things in WH that are their decendents , Slann I believe) and in the war the Old ones created the Jokori (sp), the Krorks, and the Eldar.
The Necrons had no defence against psychic abilities and were starting to loose. Due to the war and overuse of warp powers it attracted the hungers of the Enslavers. Those enslavers are in the WH40k black book and look like sorta jelly fish thing. The Enslavers were better at eating everyone than the Necrons were.
The Necrons decided to cleanse worlds off all life, which is what the Enslavers ate, and buckle down for the long sleep on those newly dead worlds.
This left the Eldar and the forces of the Old Ones to fight against the Enslavers.

Fast forward time and you see the Krorks have become simply Orks. This is there to explain their weird ability to use and create tech w/o knowing why.

Think of it this way.

The Jokori made wargear and funtioned as a sorta forgeworld.
Their gear went to the Krorks who were the infantry/ main battle force. They would take the gear and adapt it as needed.
The Eldar were like the elite squads.

Krorks would slam into the enemy on a vast scale and the Eldar would strike in with their usual pinpoint attacks.

I would love to know what happened after that but we can assume a lot of things by looking at the story history of the Eldar.
