Maybe I'm the only person who's bothered by this but, if Bloodletters are "clad" in Brass Armor of Khorne shouldn't we have an applicable model available from GW? All Bloodletter models are just skin. I want big Chaos looking Khornate brass armor man!
Anyone have any ideas for a good base figure to do this with preferably plastic? I'll worry 'bout the heads but armor that would look good all brass and Khorne?

I never understood the 'clad in armour' part myself... But I don't know which models could represent them, I'm having some trouble trying to imagine a Bloodletter with armour here. Normally I might think of some green stuff on the original model, but with Bloodletters the arms get in the way  .

Are there any decent looking chaos warriors out there? I've got an idea of what I'd like, I guess I'll go by my local store tomorrow and take a look around.
I'm hoping I can find a good body to put bloodletter heads onto. I will do more if need be, just trying to keep it simple since we're talking about a couple of units.

Ahh, bloodletters, thought you said bloodthirster...

Have you ver seen the undead skeleton sprues, they have sertain pieces of armour avaliable, these pieces come seperate from the models.
You could see if there is Chaos warrior armour you can use, but personally I would try to mould the armour with greenstuff.

You haven't considered to make the bloodletters like it looks that they've just entered the material world, and model them with pieces of power armour slapped on their skin?

I'd really like for them to have a very archaic chaos feel. I didn't get time this weekend but soon I'm going to take a good look around my local shop looking for just the right armor.

For the moment I can't think of any other armour that would fit better, than the one that the bloodthirster.
What I'm talking about is the look of it.
The only way I can think of how to make this is simply to mold the armour from green stuff.

The reasont he figs dont represent the "clad in armour" thing is because that rule just came out in the new Chaos Marine Codex... they used to be like any other daemon.. Invul.. so as for converting them maybe an old chaos knights upper bodies with the blood letters legs.. chop the arms and head voila!!

I think that when they were sculpting new Bloodletters they already knew that Bloodletters would get a 3+ armour save. After all they were working on models and the codex simultaneously.

a good idea for armour try using the body of the old bloodletter champion, add the new head and arms plus some of the shoulder pads from the new marauder sprue(the skull one would look really cool) and you'd have some armoured up blood letters.

I PLAY KHORNE. BLOODLETTERS ARE BETTER NOW THAN THEY USE TO BE BY FAR, BUT THEY ARE SO EXPENSIVE. I MEAN COME ON, 26 POINTS PER MODEL. AND HTEY GET THEIR BUTT HANDED TO THEN IN RANGE. NOW LIKE YOU WERE SAYING WITH THERE 3+/5+ SAVE IT IS NASTY. BUT YOU KNOW WHAT IT IS NOT ALL THAT BAD.

I've played Khorne for years, and Bloodletters are by far more potent now than ever. 26 points is cheap for what they can do! Since you can summon them before movement AND assault with them, you don't often have to worry about being shot at!

3 Attacks on the charge with Strength 5 Power Weapons!? I think that's fairly good, with 3+ armour and a 5+ invulnerable, I'd even put them up against a Wraithlord with confidence!
