Hey and welcome to my new project blog of 2013 I decide to give chaos marines a go having always collected horde armies in the past time for something different.

My armies theme is going to be bases around nurgle but with some slannesh the thrown in the mix later on. I was thinking of my army called the Brotherhood of Plague being a fleet based fluff that roam that galaxy and Target weak or undefended imperial planets.

Here is what I currently own modal wise...
Chaos lord x2
40 cultists
10 plague marines
12 chosen
2 helbrutes
5 chaos spawns (unmade but ideas as there!)
10 Possessed marines (not made but i have plans and parts!)
I have no big guns yet unfortunately but this month hoping to get a forgefiend or 2 and make some oblitators soon,

But to start things off I have some progress pictures of nurgle lord

That's all my picture and progress of him right now and a quick picture my first plague marine

He not that good Of conversion just a csm with bloated stomach. He still could do with abit more work on him.

So if you wanna throw me some comments or that great and thanks until next update.

Hey guys/gals.

Here is my next update well a little one anyways.

Its still in early progress but some painting of my first hellbrute.

Its abit dark but you can see most of the modal at least. Going for a rotten flesh feel on the power plant/legs/feet parts.

Any idea i have been thinking about is using orcs and goblin black ork modals as Plague marines or Chosen.

I have a quick picture for a my idea and comparsing next to a chaos marine. I think they fit them quite well there massive, fat, like the nurgle theme compare to csm.

If anyone wants to give me some feedback on what yous think of my idea i would really appericate it.

Great Project so far, I really like a little Nurgle love.

Nurgle conversions are always hard to do whichever way you slice it, as you have to put a load of effort into each model to achieve the right result, that makes the project more unique once you finished as you've gone that extra mile to make a really cool army.:)

My advice? Mix it up. Try the conversions that you have more enjoyment working on, do them in small numbers (in one's, two's or three's, whichever takes your fansy) and if they don't work out finish them off and try a different conversion. Do this so that they all have something in common (moving, firing, charging etc.) that way they look more like a unit if they're working together on something.

To add onto the Plague Marine unit idea, you can still have the converted Ork models in there, but only put a small number in there and have the Marine models be in the majority. It makes the unit look more Plague Marine that way.

If your going to do quite a bit of sculpting on this project, I'd look around on project logs and blogs onve the interwebs, you never know what you might discover ;).

Take my advice or don't, it'll still be a great project :).

Hey guys,

Thanks for tips and feedback it has been very useful in my way of thinking of new conversion ideas.

Sorry i havent updated in a while being in to pc games and Warhammer does not mix to well for time these days. I have been playing the newer Simcity all week!.

Lani Guy: Yea, i try to do loads of conversions in my army nurgle theme armies are great for them as well thx.

Kai-Itza: Thanks i am glad you like my work so far. I have been looking at most projects on here they have all been a good insperation to me for ideas. I do tend to do alot of sculpting with greenstuff with my orks and Now chaos marines. I tend to just make up as i go as well and Watch other projects so i dont copy anyone's ideas.

Now on chaos space marines new i found a land raider, Old whirlwind and Predator modals in my room last night so that will solve my lack of tanks problem for now. I am still hoping to go for a few forgefiends in the mix. I also order bits to make my self some oblitators as well so just waiting for those to arrive.

Thanks guys for comments and Feel free to add more :).

Time for a update...Nurgle has been rather lazy of late.

So here some more progress on the chaos lord.

A little bit of progress later.

A few shots with flash.

Bought myself a new toy to convert maybe make him my nurgle Warpsmith or Dark apostle i am not sure which the now since i am taking quite few cultists in my army i thinking dark apostle the now.

The lord should be finished in my next update and Hopefully abit of painting or more work of my plague marines. So enjoy and comments are welcome as always.

Hey,

A another wee update some more modals made.

and gave my Helbrute a plasma cannon using the Leman Russ executioner cannon not to overkill in size i hope? :D

My last game against chaos marines again the Helbrute killed 4 marines and 3 oblitators in combat so a nice change from getting blown up in the first few turns. Back to work in more plague marines. 11 down, 10 more to go!

I love the look of the Lord with the overgrown pointing hand, very imposing and very Nurgle-ly.

As you mentioned earlier, the Orc body for the plague marines is not something I've seen anyone do before, but from the one picture you posted it looks like it has some potential. I wouldn't mind seeing some more pictures with different angles of that model so that I could give you a more definitive answer. I'd also love to see some more pictures of the Hellbrute, also from different angles, so that we can get a better sense of what the conversion looks like.

Cheers mate!
