I recently bought a CC carnifex and three CC warriors off of the internet. I on'y had the parts that they came with, a lot of spare gaunt spures, and a venom cannon. I changed the three close combat warriors to be dakka warriors with two devourers each. The carnifex was equipped with a scythe tail, two sets of talons, and tusks. This is how they came out after I attacked them.

This is my first work with modeling puddy on the head of the carnifex. Opinions?

What I did to the carnifex was clip off the scythe tail and smooth it. Then took the tusks off and filed down the nubs left over, and brown stuffed the tusks on as the enhanced sences. For the warriors I took gaunt arms and cliped them and clipped the talons arms in half as well. Glued and puddied as needed.

They look pretty wicked, however...

I'm hoping you're aware that there are some mold lines to be removed in places, if so sorry for being pedantic :p

Also when you say modeling 'puddy' I'm guessing that means putty, but if there's a reason why it's like that I meant no offence.

Overall, this deserves some rep for a job well done! I hope the painting goes well!

Yeah, I haven't fully removed everything yet, mold lines included xD. I need to work on that. And as for Puddy...that is a combo of southern language and bad typing xD. Lol.

I think that you have done good work showing the twinlinked devourers on those Warriors. I think also that the Carnifex is off to a good start. I think that as it has been said you need to deal with those mould lines. I also think you should go bacl ove the areas where you have applied putty. In these areas you should look for any uneven work and sort it out.

I often find that dealing with small problems when using putty is easiest after you have done the larger, harder areas. Still I think those Tyranid warriors are certainly very good looking with how you have done thier devourers.

Updating a bit. I started by taking out the mold lines, and getting rid of the thornback on the model. I then took gaunt devourers, Since I don't have any MC devourers and couldn't seem to find any online the other day, I made them. Took the talons and clipps and repositioned them to have the devourers pointing forwards. xD C&C please.
