First off, it's illegal to post points for upgrade costs, you can only post total costs for units. Change that ASAP or else you'll get burned by a mod.

THere's a fair bit of useless crap in there. Lets weed it out.

Useless armoury crap that GW gives us:

Medallion crimson
Carapace Armour
Refractor field
Master Crafting

Other things to remove:

Medic (points better spent elsewhere)
Sharpshooters (Only cost effective in Support squads)
Meltagun (This squad is for leadership, it is imperitive that it is placed out of LOS, therefore the meltagun won't get used)

Mix n match is generally a nono. Find another 5pts and bump that last Rocket up to a lascannon

Very messed up squad, once again you're mixing and matching. Popular and cost effective combo is x3 plasma guns and x1 lascannon in a ten man squad, suggest you go for that as you've already got the two plasma guns. What you've got there has tried to make itself so versatile that it starts pulling its punches.

Just get rid of that, a single sniper rifle is useless ratlings are the only way to go because you can get a large group of them.

Macharian cross is useless. You can save the points by deploying correctly in the first place. Drop it. Melta guns are only going to be of any use if you deepstrike the squad in which case the officer shouldn't be upgraded at all.

Try applying some of what I said for the other infatry squads to the remaining ones, I'm too weary at the moment to comment on the rest.

Argh! BAD! You're totally wasting their BS with a paltry flamer. Again go double plasma

Also grenadiers like these need chimeras to be effective, and for chimeras to survive they need Leman russes to draw fire.

Sorry, the Karskin with the Flamer sapped the last of my strength, someone else take over please.

Hahaha. Right I’ll try to give you your answers.

Firstly, the most important thing too know about me is that I build my army for how I want it to be (no disrespect intended, read on and you’ll get me). I totally understand all the points you produced, however;

1 – My anti-tank squad is a mix because they are the old models and I’m too lazy to order another old lascannon crew.

2 – Reference my Veterans, isn’t the whole idea of them to be ‘messed up’? Even the models I have are messed up haha, I’ve got the old ‘Para’ looking storm troopers in there (not the crappy plastic ones, some of the decent metal ones). Also, I’ve found that despite their mad conglomeration of weapons, they are very effective.

3 – You do realise that the single sniper you are telling me to get rid of, is in fact Sjt Mortison! It is me! I would be out of a job! The reason I’m employed in such a fashion, is due to my actions against a recent Ork encounter, where I managed to keep an entire advance pinned.

4 – I have done really well with my flamers in the past, even against the thickly clad traitor marines. My soldiers like them.

5 – As my army is based on realism, I think ‘vanishing’ my sniper rifles from my Snipers Platoon would be a bit of a kick in the teeth for my snipers.

6 – The reason my officers have different medals between them is just for a bit of individualism.

7 – Fair one about the meltagun being in the HQ squad, I might scrap that,

8 – Reference the whole ‘go double plasma’ idea, I am absolutely cursed with plasmaguns. I am useless with them so I limit their issue.

9 – My Chimeras are reserved to my armoured fist company not listed, and my Leman Russ’s are found in my tank regiment, also not mentioned.

I think that about covers what you said. I understand where you are coming from, but I’ve chosen to field my Guard in a manor that gives me the most enjoyment to play with. It is also deeply satisfying to deploy an inferior list against someone who has not and, with the use of sound tactics and positioning, still win, that is the greatest victory of all.

Oh, you've got a fluff based army here?

Yes, veterens are supposed to be messed up, but really cuts on the damage they can deal out.

Also, if you want to distinguish the officers, you could do it more cheaply with trademark items.

Cursed with Plasmaguns? *Shrugs* Buy new dice or something. They're a lot more useful than than melta guns. Who cares if one or two toast themselves? You're IG so you should have like 5-10 more.

So the tanks are part of the army list you've got there? If not you really should get them in. Grenadiers want Chimeras, and Chimeras want Russes.

Yes it would kick the fluff in the teeth, but your men would be more grateful if you'd give them a bigger gun to kill enemies.

Sniper? Pin Orks? *begins to kill himself laughing* They've got a Good LD plus if they're 12 models or stronger, they're fearless, I really can't see an entire Ork advance getting halted by even a someone as good as a Vindicare.. Even if you killed one a turn off a mob of 18, you'd never pin them. Plus even if they go below 12, they've still got a decent chance of passing.

Weeeellll, maybe that has been slightly exaggerated over time. It was more like a squad of Stormboyz, but because of that I denied the fast slaughter my opponent wanted, which resulted in my victory.

My Steel Legion have all my Chimeras and my armoured regiment has all my tanks, and I'm still playing around with my lists.
