chosen models

I'm pretty sure on the rule for this but one of my friends keeps disagreeing so im just checking.

With chosen, is there anything that needs to be displayed on the models to represent chosen? and if i don't have anything representing it, do i have to tell my opponent which is chosen?

I don't think you do, but my friend says that the armor would be bigger(chaos armor) and would need to be displayed on the model or told about the chosen.

AFAIK there is nothing in the army book that states chosen have to be modelled differently to other warriors.

I think the most common way of distinguishing them is to paint them slightly different to the normal warriors. That’s not compulsory though, as long as you let your opponent know which are chosen and which are not.

wait, im confused. i have wanted to know this for a while. Just give a straight answer, do you or don't you have to inform the opponent.

with what you said before you conrtradict yourself. first you say you dont need to show the difference, then you say you should tell your opponent.

This is what i want to know, should the opponent have knowledge of who is chosen and who is not.

Your oppenent must know if the models are chosen, though the models themselves can look exactly like the rest of your army.

If they are chosen in the army list and they look like or are similar to the rest of your army your opponent must know that they aren't your run-of-the-mill chaos marines.

its alway's a nice feeling to know what the opponent is shooting at, not to mention it rules out any doubt in your and the opponents mind that these are chaos marines with purpose.:argh:
