There's some really cool stuff here; the jetbike was really cool and I love the idea of daemonette claws on mandrakes. I also thought that the AU guy had a great beginning for his army fluff even though it wasn't fully developed; I just love the idea of haemonculai families working within larger kabals, but acting as small armies in their own right and pursuing their own sadistic ulterior motives. I always thought there should be a haemonculus apocalypse formation with a haemonculus and multiple grotesque and talos units. Kabals have their army list, wyches have theirs, so where's the love for haemonculai?

Very inspirational. Guess I better start working on some of my DE. Thanks for the links.

Here are some of mine....

two Ravagers, 1 raider and my archon! Sorry That they aren't painted as of yet (the archon is almost done, probably needs touchs ups and detail but i'm not so good at detail...just started painting after all =p)

Nice work all around, and again very inspirational.

Zidi, your first ravager is wicked sleek like a missle; the whole thing suggests speed. I'd like to see another shot of the Archon- I can't quite make out the left hand.

Wicky, love the horned helm on your pilot, the way it makes him grow out of the cockpit at you; also the hooks on the sides/ bottom look like some of the most painful blades I've seen on a vehicle. I'd really like to see this piece with a gunner- just curious about whether you were going to go for a look similar to the pilot or go for contrast.

Bob, I too dig on the crossed swords, and I thought your succubus was pretty cool too- the blades are awesome and I like the half mask. Question- is the projectile device on the left arm permanently attached yet? The reason I ask is that in it's current position, it looks like it might have a topside handle rather than being truly wrist mounted. If your idea was a top grip, allowing it to be carried in the uderslung style, it looks great where it is. If you wanted it to be a true wrist mount, allowing the model to weild that wicked blade two handed when necessary, I would suggest mounting the projectile similar to the way grey knights mount theirs.

The last question here isn't about conversions specifically, but it came into my head after looking at bob's succubus model. The name Succubus is taken from a female demon; the male counterpart is the Incubus. Now in the army list, Incubi are not male wych leaders, but bodyguards. Presuming that wych squads can be lead by males as well as females, the male squad leader gets slapped with the succubus handle, which to my mind has gender dysphoria written all over it. Just wondering if most DE players do go with a female succubus. As it relates to bob's conversion, the model has pretty well developed chest armour, so it's hard to tell, but it does look male.

Anyway, guess I better get to work on some of my own, huh?

The gunner is complete just not attached yet so that extra detail can added but it is simply another Warrior much like the pilot.

The Falcon shape was chosen not because its Eldar but because it copies the Dark Eldar twin bladed push dagger that comes with the warrior sprue - its mean't to be two flying serrated blades.

Cheers and they are all good conversions!

I personally am not a fan of wych models, so i've actually used Dark Elf Corsair's as my Wyches and use Lokir Fell heart as my Dracite, so i suppose my wyches are male, and it doesn't terribly bother me.

I quite like the missle ravager, its a fairly simple conversion really, just cut off the front of a raider and the driver seat, attached a vyper cockpit (Courtesy of a friends bits box) to the main body and used the spare blades and tail bits for the wings and then i think i'm using scatter lasers from Wraith lords (Friends bits box again).

The other was a first try conversion and I like the model itself, but i'm not 100% sure it's appropiate for ravager model, but nevertheless its a ravager =p...

Either way it was cost effective for me, I bought 2 raiders, 1 ravager and 1 jetbike and made 2 ravagers and 3 Raiders. The Raider i presented is more of a shooting platform raider (So it'll be my designated gunboat)...

What do people think of that conversion? I just really think the Dark Eldar have so much more potential for sleek speeding warship then they've been given. I'm thinking of trying another ravager conversion but i'm not 100% on what to use that won't cost a fortune in itself (no more spare Vyper parts for me =()

I'll try find another archon picture, its a pain to photograph because the camera struggles to focus...

The hand is just a corsair arm that i've glued 4 other blades onto to make the shape of an agoniser hand, and the process of glueing created the palm.

Wow, great work all. My DE conversions are pretty much non-existant minus some small adjustments to my raider/ravager chassis. I feel like I've underworked my army now, thanks a lot! lol. I've only made 2 real conversions to fill out a mandrake squad and a grotesques squad. I hate packs of 3 lol.

My Space marines and orks have received all my converting prowess.. :(

I took a few pictures with my crappy camera of my Archon and some Incubi - hope these are actually viewable by you.

They are a bit battle worn from transport for so long and need touched up, and i need to be not lazy and finish the eyes, but other than that everything is done.

Archon - Front: http://home.comcast.net/~nailius/pwpimages/100_0097.jpg ... She is Holding a punisher and animus vitae

And yes, the hearts are there because they love you and want to give you a hug.
