couple of Q?s

Just wondering about a couple of things

a) Can scarbs block LoS to screen units?

b) The necrons can roll for the WWB without the Res Orb close by. Like do they only need if there getting done by power weapons?
(the codex is a bit hazy in its explanation)

c) Plastic immortals do they exsist anywhere? $220Aus is pretty steep for 10

d) Over the long run do necrons keep being a force to reckon with.

Cheers

Sorry if asking the same old stugf

1) Only when locked in close combat. Screening is no longer a part of the game, as per 4th Edition rules. They can force a target priority test, however.

2) They only need the Orb when hit by power weapons or things that instantly kill them - they normally can't WBB from these things, but with the Orb, they can. WBB, otherwise, works.

3) Nope. You might consider converting Warriors to Immortals, using GS.

4) Yep, when used correctly. Though, they are a bit more forgiving than other armies for newer players.

Hope this helps!

\

Only if the units behind them are size 1(rare), and even then they only force a target priority test. All other units in a cron army are size 2 or 3 so generally no. If you have scarabs that were created by a tomb spyder then technically they are a unit with it and thus can take wounds inflicted on the squad. And the tomb spyder in the unit can block LOS.

If you read through the WBB special rule very closely a few times you'll get it. Basically you only need a res orb for crons' that were downed by any weapon with twice their toughness or a power weapon in combat. Basically.

c) Plastic immortals do they exsist anywhere? $220Aus is pretty steep for 10
Sure they do. They are called converted warriors. If thats not good enough for you then unfortunately no, there are no palstic immortals. Though E-Bay can get you just about anything at supreme discount.

d) Over the long run do necrons keep being a force to reckon with.
If played right i'd say necrons are the force to be reckoned with. Played wrong they are still pretty tough but you will find them boring to play if you consistantly get defeated as they dont allow much variation or options.

Just a split second before you there, Sabe. ;)

Scarabs can't block LOS without being in CC - when in CC, they block LOS, but only to Size 1 creatures. However, typically, the creatures they are in CC with will be doing more LOS blocking than they.

Thanks guys
that was quick
