Points are off- should be 110.Kharne the Betrayer said:
This pup will definitely take the focus off your troops. He'll be difficult for your opponents to manage. Most people stay away from statured princes until they reach the 1500 mark, but I've found that they are actually more effective in lower games, because your opponent typically does not have enough lascannons and the likes to deal with him.
D. talons work best in numbers. Having just one model (albeit 4 attacks) is probably not going to produced the desire affect. You would be much better off spending the point on a power fist, infiltrate, and an additional special weapons.Kharne the Betrayer said:
Power fist: This weapon is almost standard in a plague marine squad. It will curve out your attacks and allow you to take down dreads and monstrous creatures. Even though dreads are not very common in a 500 point build, you still want to have a safe measure against them.
Infiltrate: Presently, against shooty armies, your troops will get torn down before they can get into c.c. Again, infiltrate is pretty much standard on plague marines and for good reasons.
Plasma guns: Having 2 in each squad isn't necessary at the 500 mark, but it will allw you to manage landspeeders and other lightly armored vehicles. Again with the standard, but it works.
Hmm... Honestly, you should be fine without these little guys. They may be able to tie a few genestealers up, but honestly, you need the points to further upgrade your plague marines.Kharne the Betrayer said:
D.G. can be utterly potent in a 500 build, because they are so difficult to take down. Not many players can count on having enough heavy/special weapons to manage plague marines; especially with your prince flying down on them. All these suggestions are geared towards rounding out your troops and allowing them to really reign down upon your enemy.
