I would like to restart some discussion on Epic again. Here's a list comparing some different small scale sci fi wargames, please post input opinions etc. Will update this list with new games as well. Post details of the games I don't have listed yet, as well as what you like, don't like and a good explanation.
Epic40k
Pros: Variety of armies with differing combat tactics & styles. Detailed 40k rules converted to 6mm scale.
Cons: Ambiguity inherent on the 40k rule set.
Mechwarrior
Pros: Fast and flexible gameplay. Easy to learn, and fast playing rules.
Cons: Not enough detail in the rules.
Classic Battletech
Pros: Highly complex and detailed rules.
Cons: Slow gameplay, very slow with more then two players. Tedious recordkeeping sheets.
