Need some feedback on my doubles list. Never entered a tournament before so any comments appreciated!

My doubles team mate is fielding a melee horde ork army. Im not sure on the specifics but i just want to make a decent impression on my side of the team.

My List is as follows.........

HQ 90
Company command Squard - 2x PlasmaGun 1x MeltaGun (90 points)
Elite 155
Psyker Battle Squad - 4 Additional psykers -Chimera (155 points)
Troops - 260
Veterans - 3x MeltaGuns - (In Vendetta) (100 points)
Veterans - 2x MeltaGuns - 1x PlasmaGun - Chimera (160 points)
Fast Attack - 130
Vendetta (130 points)
Heavy Support - 225
Hydra flak Tank battery - (75 points)
Hydra flak Tank battery - (75 points)
Hydra flak Tank battery - (75 points)

Not sure what to do with remaining 20 points

I would love to work a Executioner in for a nice shock and awe felling but I can't justify the 200 points for it.

Idea is to rush forward the vendetta on turn one and emperor willing, destroy a valuable heavy tank. Vendetta and Vets on Anti tank duty and Hydras to pummel infantry or any greater daemons.

since your friend has a CC oriented army you should really focus on long range support rather than alpha strike rushes.
Lascannon platforms are your best pick for infantry, and you really should plan to sit back and shoot, leaving the mobility to your orkish friend.

Don't mix specials in CCS.
I'd consider the platoon approach for troops instead of transported veterans.

As an ork player I can say that the major weakness is long range against high AP. So I agree with frost89, go for blobs with heavy weapons and artillery. No real need for hydras, with lootas he can bring a huge number of autocannon shots to the table. I would go with multiple vendettas if i were you.. has many lascannons that he needs and manouverable and can draw a lot of fire so he can advance.

You could be really evil with guard and orks, get him to bring 2 kffs and you have cover for a giant gunline (plus a 4+ cover save on all tanks nearby).. If I had to design the sickest ork-IG double list it would look like..

2 KFFs
30 shootas
20 shootas
battlewagon
6 lootas
6 lootas

stick kff in the battlewagon with shootas to use as a static fire position that can countercharge perfectly and give you a massive 4+ cover range over all vehicles

and for you..

ccs
3 squad blob platoon
2 squads of melta vets
2 vendettas

that is one hell of a scary list.. everything with a cover save in a huge gunline pumping out many shots, that is also serious ass kicking in assault, plus fast moving melta and lascannons provided by you

orks and ig are the perfect compliment to each other

Psyker Battle Squad - 4 Additional psykers -Chimera (155 points)

Infantry Squad - Auto Cannon (65 points)
Mortar (60 Points)
Fast Attack - 130
Vendetta (130 points)
Heavy Support - 150
Hydra flak Tank battery - (75 points)
Hydra flak Tank battery - (75 points)

Thanks to you guys the platoon squad is on the list. Wasn't sure if I should use auto cannons or lascannons..
Also thought I'd throw in a mortar squad for good anti-infantry measure.

Meeting up with my buddy on weekend, will check out what he's bringing and post.
