Ooo that's what I like to see :p

Considering we're meant to be an elite army there's alot of models there, unless it's like a >3k list. It's a shame they were unable to get a pic of the whole cover.

Besides why should a newly inducted Grey Knight have a better weapon skill than a Spacemarine veteran who had been fighting and killing the enemies of the Emperor before that Grey Knight's great, great grandparents were twinkles in their parent eyes. It just does not add up.

Because every single Grey Knight is at least equal to a SM librarian. Not to mention all the extra training they are ment to undertake.

Love the new pics. Hoepfully now that sometihng like that has broken GW will take the lid off the rumour box before all the magic has bled out!

The Dreadknight doesn't look like it will be claiming too many cover saves, does it?

The Grey Knight's background fluff has always been that they were to Space Marines what Space Marines are to normal men. Higher WS and Strength was the 3rd edition way of representing this.

I don't know if that's being toned down for the next edition, but a higher WS was always justified in the fluff. GK have a better explanation than most; there are IG special characters right now with WS5 as well. I mean, if you're going to talk about fluff and rules not adding up, ask yourself why Colonel Straken is WS5 first.

The more I look at these pictures, I can't help but think. The bottom left hand corner there is a very rigid looking blue thing that's not quite covered up by the black square, possible transfer sheets?

I love how Katie said dont complain about the quality, then they got a feth it up by sticking Heresy Online all over it? nice one guys!!!!

The only useful thing about those pics is that we sort of see what to expect from the dreadknight... a gray knight in a penitant engine!!!!

I take it those big awesome guys are dread knights? and i see 5 heavy support choices if the dread knights are heavy support (and that tank being a razorback or something). Making hopefully that rumour untrue. It would be so fun if storm ravens were fast attack and dread knights were elites. I mean if BA (land raiders, baal preds) and IG (VENDETTA) can have stuff in the wrong compartments why can't we! :p

Is the bottom picture of the dread knight or is that a pertinent engine I see?

In terms of Psychic ability, yes, martial ability, no.

Much of that extra training a Grey Knight recieves is not martial but a mixture of conditioning the Grey Knight against the horrors of the Warp, developing his psychic potential and understanding the weaknesses of the myriad daemons he must fight. A Grey Knight is still learning to fully harness his psychic potential by the time he becomes a full battle brother and can only use the lower level powers such as Hammerhand, a Librarian at this point would still be a Lexicani and would remain in the Librarium for many years before being deemed to have enough martial and psychic mastery to be allowed out to fight for the chapter as a Codicer.

The thing you are forgetting however is that Grey Knights are primarily daemon hunters, they fight daemons most of the time and only other races by circumstance. This is represented by the fact that they have Preffered Enemy against all daemons.

So, will the massive amount of psychic abilities make up for the lack of ws5, which they should have, and s6? Also, it'll be hard to pass psychic tests with a ton of anti psychic powers now a days though. Good luck getting anything off.

Yes. In the end they are daemon hunters and are the subject matter experts when it comes to fighting the spawn of the warp, represented by the fact they have Preffered Enemy against daemons.

Hardly. The sheer number of psychic tests you will be using will means that a good few of them will get through. You are focusing too much on the negatives here. The main strength of the Grey Knights is not their psychic power but the fact that they can move and fire without any impact on their ability to assault. Psychic powers are a nice bonus but that is all that they are really. It is really only against Librarians and Farseers that Grey Knights will have problems with psychic tests.

Also, tyranids with their anti psyker abilities. It'll be almost nearly impossible to get them off. They are just nerfing GK so they lowered the points cost, so they can sell more. They aren't making them unique, they are taking that away. Oh, we'll just give them half the psychic abilities of the other space marines, throw in a few more, and take away everything that made them unique, and call it a day.

yeah. I really hope the powers works like exarch power because then it would be awesome otherwise... they will nearly auto loose against eldar. but have anyone else than me noticed that the rumor said that halberds is +1 I but it's only the paladins that got them... all other got nemesis force weapon. think it means something?

Think I'll call bull pat on that. Fair do's if it is and I'll have said bull pat on my face but jus cant see that happening outside special eddition copies.
