Here is the final rumour from Blood of Kittens regarding Terminators. I think I will do a Grey Knights round-up at some point.

Grey Knights will be see the return of the 2 wound terminator. These new elite terminators will have 2 wounds and FNP and access to all the upgrades and options of all GKT in the codex. To make things more interesting one special character can make these terminators troop choices. What remains to be seen is if they will get Eternal Warrior…

I would take that with a huge pintch of salt in the best case.Eternal warrior to a double wound squad goes too far and will be a huge point investment. On the other hand you have super units such as ork bikers so why not?I just hope this codex doesnt turn out to be a bizare experiment for super elite armies...

Ok.. so lets just run this down

Terminator Troops, with 2 wounds, feel no pain and inv saves... yaaa they are going to be painful on many levels... points costs, model costs and ass kicking costs (to their opponents)

First i missquoted you on the previus :p

Anyway,if they are up to make to make 100pts per model id very much would like them facing the guard, throwing a bucket o dice and pies at them.Of caurse they would srug most of it.Imagine 40 models mowing down 3000pts o guard.Sounds fluffy!

Uhm, I am pretty sure there is a terminator costing unit that is strength and toughness 5, has two wounds, power weapons, furious charge, an invulnerable save, with eternal warrior. If our terminators on on par with them I will be pleased.

However it seems like we are still going to lose point for point with blood crushers.

It does rather does'nt it. Its also quite funny to watch them weep as you tell them how much your army cost compared to theirs. :D

Yeah just dont forget that when they get out if they have those stats,we gonna see a DH flood just we did with SW and BA.Also wed better wait till we see the prices.I have a feeling that they wont be as low as the the rest of the ranges GW offers in terms of price.I hold my breath for the stormraven particularly. It might be ugly and expensive, lethal combination!

P.S.About my shame i intoned 100 prayes to the emperor, scared my flesh in ritual, made a penanse of not eating for one week and i beg thy forgiveness,is that enough or do i have to storm the eye of terror with sticks and harsh language as weapons?

First off, this sounds awesome. Some people may not like the idea of an elite army, but that's what the Grey Knights always should have been and I'm pretty darn excited for it. I am curious about this whole vehicle+psychic power deal. That's gonna be a whole lot of psychic powers getting thrown out in one turn, especially when you add in the normal units of GKs. One thing it sounds like they aren't doing is shying away from overpowering the GK's. If they get the points cost right, the army is going to be amazing. If they mess up on that, or don't actually make this supposed "elite" army elite enough, it's going to end up being sooo lame. Can't wait to see how it plays out.

But I am wondering about the proposed release date. I talked to someone who said that all the models and rules are pretty much done and the only reason GW hasn't released them yet is because of logistical problems with the Dark Eldar release. He was saying something about a possible January-February release in order to eat up some Christmas money. Does anyone think this could be possible?

Yeah could happen. But considering the nature of the models I do no think this will be the case. I believe it is either Juan Diaz or Jes Goodwin doing the Grey Knight terminators and Martin Footit on the power armoured Grey Knights.

I suppose its a start. :arrogant:

PS: Never underestimate the killyness of a sharp stick

PPS: In the Eye of Terror harsh language is usually called sorcery. :sinister:

We'll have to see how much of these come to fruition and how many turn out to be wrong. I like the idea of a very expensive, but very tough army. It's why I chose DH as my first army. The fact that we could have 30 models going up against 100 sounds awesome. I won't mind paying 100 points for a GKT if they are suitably grunty as a result.

As an aside, I read in the latest White Dwarf battle report for the Necrons V IG, that Robin Cruddace is on a "mission to write the ultimate codex". Is this an indication that he is writing the GK codex or is he busy on another? Or am I jumping to conclusions? Being fairly new to this, what other codexes (codices?) has he written and how did they turn out? It would seem to me that knowing who the author of the codex is would help get a feel for what rumours are likely and which are less likely.

Ohooooooooohhhhhh...Each time someone tries do their ultimate stuff it turns out s...d up.Ill go dig my fallout shelter now...Or not.Jared what about that mission to the eye of terror?

I assume he means any army that relies on vehicles as it's primary source of firepower (eg, Imperial Guard), instead of using infantry and being properly annihilated by templates, deep strikers, and fast assaulters. Or I could be wrong and he just doesn't like MSU Mech armies, which is prettymuch the same thing. (Or he could be an Eldar player who faces LRC-Spam Black Templars with Blessed Hulls. Which is something entirely different.)

That said, I'm looking forward to this. Any word on what plastic kits/metal blisters we might be getting, JvK?

Sorry for hijacking the thread.(JvK is going to tell me to go against a deamon primarch now i can feel it)

Well the guard can overdo it with half the forge word assebly line producing tank models for them...They have to throw them somewere have they not?

But i wont believe tht they dont use infantry.Have you ever been fired by 60 lasshot on an IC?I didnt even bothered to let him roll i removed the char.

Whats the other army with uber vehicles?Eldar perhaps?
Most of them, not Daemons though. Vehicles have it too easy in 5h ED. They should not be making vehicles more powerful. Perhaps they will start going towards a needed trend of higher points for vehicles which is needed across all the codexes.

Another Uber-elite-type army could work, perhaps the elite of the Marines. As long as they have very high points values. If they're too cheap they'll be too good.

Grey Knights may have some nice models though. The models will really be what makes or breaks them as an army. However I'm going to wait until I see them before I pass judgement.

Not just a daemon primarch. ALL OF THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now move it. I don't want to see you again until you have Angron's head on a platter...............prefereably covered in barbeque sauce, with a side order of fries, mushrooms and onion rings. NOW MUSH!!!!!!!!!!!!!

True. I think that some of the more recent models in 40K and Fantasy have shown GW isn't holding back so much and is being less shy about making dramatic models.
Its probably because the CAD and resin laser sculpting technology they now use has advanced so much they can afford to be ambitious with their plastic kits. A lot of what they can do now would have been extremely difficult ten years ago.
As you say the models will be the make or break of this army. I believe Martin Footit is doing the power armoured models and Jes Goodwin or Juan Diaz is working on the Terminators. These will be the main sell of the release.

This is true. Grey Knights are the best of the best, the Imperium's ultimate elite force. The basic marine will be about 21-23pts and this is before the unit upgrades are added such as psy-cannons, incinerators and psychic powers. Expect each unit to be totaling something in the region of 300+ points. They will be expensive but they will pack a punch like no other.
