GW FAQ how do I read them?

There has been quite a few Chaos FAQ's on the GW site and now(OK, it's been there a for a while) there is a new. This version (4.0) is dedicated to dealing with how the codex should be read in context of the new rulebook.

There is no Codex Chaos Errata.

Is this FAQ the only one valid or are the older versions still valid unless they contradict any of the newest one?

The reason for this question is the lack of mentioning of the "tzeentch specific powers" that used to exist. This made it possible for a Chosen or Possessed to use Bolt of Change (and Twisting Path) without upgrading to Champion. This is not in the present FAQ, is this then not a valid option any longer?

It says nothing on the altered toughness of Obliterators, nor about the special movement modes and Berzerker glaive.

As far as I'm concerned, the other FAQs were written before the new rule book and have been replaced by the updated FAQ. It's much like how a new codex completely replaces the old Codex. A new FAQ comes out, the older ones are discarded.

The Glaive issue isn't listed in that particular FAQ because it was still legal when that FAQ was written. If you take a look at the unofficial 4.2 Chaos FAQ, you'll see that it is now in there. I'm not sure why the Obliterator toughness was left out, but I know it shows up in the 4.2 FAQ as well.

Can you post a link to the unofficial FAQ 4.2? It'd be useful to have...

I've been under the impression that the Obliterator Toughness and Berserker Glaive + Special movement modes were not in the FAQ because they were corrected in the third printing of the Chaos Codex. I could be wrong, since I have the first printing.

If you would please lock this thread, it was most of all a desperate call for help. I have now cooled of and realized that I never use any of them spells on anything but characters anyway...

I guess I was in chock, that's all.
