Heavy Flamer - MIA
The Heavy Flamer is list in our codex, but I can't see other than Tanks, where we can use it.:huh: It even shows pictures of them in the 'Dex, but no units can take them.

Yes it is a pity we couldn't take them in regular squads or command squads. Imagine a command squad with 3 flamers and one Heavy Flamer popping out the back of a Chimera or Deepstriking into enemy lines.

Sentinels can take one as well I believe,
although probably only effective if you were going to deepstrike them

it's been some time since i looked at anything 40k-wise, but aren't they heavy firing type, for them to be fairly effective, the enemy would have to stop dead next to you and not charge you that turn since you'd have to stand still, plus have the heavy flamer in good position.

I've done the Heavy Flamer and three Flamers in a Chimera deal, and I have to say that it works great. The only thing is though, that the same squad with four Flamers usually produces the exact same results for me, and it's more cost effective, so I dropped the Heavy Flamer after a few games.

didn't have my rulebook/codex on me, left it at the barracks, but anyways, yeah much better that they're assault, would be horribly pointless if they were heavy
