Ok everyone, I have a big question for ya'll. I am putting together a Heresy Era Sons of Horus army. Not pre-heresy, but attacking terra, kill the emperor army. Where can I go about getting the helmets, bolters, and such to model them mostly right. I dont have the time and cash(or the modelling skill) to go all the way with it right now. Just to get as close as I can. I am thinking very little mutation, not much in the way of daemons, no oblits., and mostly marine looking troops(with a little bit of chaosy stuff to seperate them from the loyalists).

Also what color scheme would be good. There is the pale green one from the Horus Heresy books, also the dark grey one from earlier fluff(found this one on the wiki). I dont want to go with the white scheme as my force has already changed from Luna wolves to Corrupted Sons of Horus.

One last thing, is this a waste of points.

Possessed, Mark of Khorne, with Daemonic Flight and Chain Axes. Modelled as Bezerkers with Jump packs. Thinking of Luc Sediraes 13th company jump assault troops.

Keimigca, this is a fantastic idea! Most players who want a unique build go for a pre-heresy fluff; you, on the other hand, are diving straight into the middle of it. A+. I don't have any real suggestions as to the required fluff bits or color scheme. I've seen several people using pre-heresy bits for the traitor legions, but I don't know if they make them or buy them. If you post a general description of what the Sons of Horus look like, then I'll be more apt to helping you find the bits (or making them if it's the case).

The politically correct answer is, "There's no such thing as a waste of points."

The short answer, however, is "No, it's not worth the points." You'd be spending 43 points per model. That's 359 points for eight zerkers and an A.C. kitted with a power fist. Unlike termis, which are roughly the same cost, the possessed zerkers don't have any more staying power than a basic marine, which poses a significant problem for their staying power. You would be better off going with bikers for the movement modifier. At 40 points a model, they are tougher & can turbo-boost.
