I've read somewhere on the internet that the only Space Marines that exist today are the Chaos. Is this true? What happened to the original Space Marines? Did they just slowly die off by the Traitor Legions?

By the "only Space Marines," what do you mean? The vast majority, if not all, of the current loyalist Space Marines are not from the original Legions; they age just like anything else, it just takes them quite a bit longer to die of old age! The reason many Chaos Marines are from the original Heresy is due to the fact that the Warp distorts time in its own fashion, so the effects of aging don't quite take as much toll on them as it did the loyalists.
