Does the Daemonhunters psychic power holocasut go in addition to or instead of the user's close combat attacks?

It's a special attack, used at the end of the assault phase. It does not count as a close combat attack. So, close combat goes as normal with both sides getting all their attacks, then the psyker makes his psychic roll and if he succeeds place the template. Also, to note, Holocaust is merely fired in the Assault phase, the model using the power does not have to be involved in an assault to use it.
