gday,

Continuing on from the thread "is this a dumb way to equipt a lord?" ive now been convinced to use an exhaulted champ in a chariot. if all goes well, and i know it wont always work, he should kick butt. however, what the best way to equit him??

at the moment, he has sword of might, shield and colar of khorne, but i feel im missing something to make him the best he can be...help?

also, another champ in my army has gaze of gods and the enchamted shield, so i cant use those, and keep in mind the new chariot rules (he'll get his +2 armour save no matter what, even in challanges)

On a chariot, he's most likely gonna be there to simply do the most wounds possible.

I berserker sword would be a great way to get extra attacks. the chariot is on a large base, so you'll get lots from that.

If you're looking to be slightly less points, a sword of battle might be an idea. then again...I've always been a fan of great weapons. you'll almost always get the charge, and with impact hits etc and a great weapon, you'll hack lots to pieces.

problem with the new rules is this: great weapon is only +1 strength unless on foot, and using both hands means he cant use his shield (although that means his save is still 2+.........). a halberd would be a better idea these days, but i know where you're coming from, thanks

Well if you were running a Tzeentch army, I would suggest the following strategy.

Exalted Champion of Tzeentch: 362pts
Chariot of Tzeentch
Golden Eye of Tzeentch
Sword of Might
Shield

Now you have a lv 2 sorceror with a 1+ armour save and a 3+ ward save against any shooting, plus 4, st6 attacks, not to mention impact hits.

If it's Khorne, then I would suggest this:

Exalted Champion of Khorne: 337pts
Chariot of Khorne
Collar of Khorne
Sword of Battle
Shield

This guy is pretty much immune to magic, and has a 1+ armour save and 6 str 5 attacks, plus impact hits.

I think that is all I can suggest :ninja:

Be careful with the any khornate chariots. You can get baited into a charge that you really didn't want to take, or worse yet, baited into difficult terrain. The last thing you want is to have your expensive character on foot, dazed and confused in the middle of a forest, wondering where his chariot went.
