For the human auxiliary i think you should be able to use a whole platoon including command squad, heavy weapon, anti-infantry units(but may be give tau heavy weapons). What do you guys think.

yea i really hope that they will do some more with the human auxilaries. i'll be happy even if they at least give them a heavy bolter or autocannon option.

I do think that they should expand on this idea ad further the participation that these humans have for the Greater Good. It would be cool to expand and give them Tau Heavy weapons teams. That would be awesome!

How's about a transport like a Chimera or a Rhino?
How would they obtain a Chimera or a Rhino if they live on a sept world? Maybe a weaker and cheaper version of the Devilfish would work instead.....
Well they're supposed to be members of the IG that were left behind, so I don't see why some of the bigger IG equipment wouldn't be left behind as well. After all, the IG always has chimeras as I understand it, and the size of the imperium certainly allows for a few tanks, or a few hundred, to be overlooked during a withdrawal.

wouldn't it make sense to allow the aux to use devilfishes? i think if you equip them with EMP grenades, they can be great tank hunters. a little expensive though.

Yeah, but it says that most of the time its generations after serviving on their own, so I think the tanks would be a little out of work by now...... Don't you?

it should have been that the humans were forced to work for the tau, but after some generations, the humans started to believe in the tau way, their offspring and so forth became friends of tau. that way, the tau would give them more access to better equipment.

I didn't realize it was generations after surviving on their own... but even still, the pieces o' junk that the imperium techno priests call 'tanks' are nothing that a Tau engineer couldn't fix.

ooo what if the they had leman russes but with a tau fix on it. it'll be a leman russ that's also a skimmer or something like that.

That would be pretty cool, but too Orky fluff wise. The Orks are the only race known to modify vehicles to their liking, so I don't like the idea of Tau doing that........ Although, a Lemun Russ with a Railgun or Ion Cannon would be more likely.....

yea a flying leman russ would be kinda wierd. i would really like to use sentinels in a tau army. its so mech-like. i would have an army full of robots (battlesuits, sentinels, and drones.)

I like the idead of a leman russ with a rail gun, or sentinal with 1 hard point would be sweet with their beforegame move. theyed be like pathfinder with big guns in mecha.

maybe the aux should be able to change their lasguns for a ccw and a laspistol. the fluff says they can make farming tools and lasguns. if they had pitchforks, why not use 'em?

Thats a really good idea, i like it lots. But it would be better if they had a transport with it.

if they gave the human aux ccw, a transporting option, and a heavy weapons team, then they would really fill the niche between the tau and the kroot. they would be able to cc and shoot, but not as good as the tau and kroot. still sounds fair.

Auxillary stormtroopers! I think that would be awsome. I just LOVE the new kaskrin models... have to incorperate them somehow...

ooo storm troopers sound awsome. i think the tau would really benefit from them. instead of imperial weapons like plasmaguns, they would have tau weapon upgrades.

I was thinking, maybe after fighting the Space Marines for a couple of hundred years that some Earth caste scientist could put two and two together and make some specialised, kinda close-combat orientated battlesuits piloted by Gue'vesa. Our battlesuits are probably our most versatile unit, why not expand their role to an elite choppy-choppy jetpacky unit, say, three to six models per squad?
