I have questions on Crisis/stealth suits
I'm a new player and i'm thinking about purchasing a great deal of tau troops at a local sale. I've seen pictures of the new models of the suits from the update, and they only look somewhat different. I've read several threads saying not to buy the current crisis/stealth suits. If I buy the old suits will I be unable to play with them in standard tournaments due to the update?

Ok, thanks. So I'm thinking safe buys are things like hammerheads, devilfishes, and fire warriors. I'd like some broadsides but I don't know if they'll be changed. Do you guys know any other safe buys?
Kroot are safe - if you dislike the new Stealth Suit models, you can probably get away with using the old ones. People won't force "old" Tau players to change their models just because they have old models, since they already bought them, as long as they go by the new rules, etc.mephistophales said:Ok, thanks. Nice to hear! I bought a full team of the old stealth suits specifically because I don't want the new ones - they look like hunchbacks, IMHO. Although I'll wait on the rest, updating my Kroot and such. On a side note, will GW take advantage of the specific Commander Battlesuit model to charge us even more for that one, or will it be around 25$ CAN like it was before?
GW will actually continue to sell the old stealths. They will be completely legal (is there any other example of GW selling 2 models for one unit choice?).
Aside from the obvious details of Shadowsun wearing an XV-15 and the new suit having a different designation (XV-25), where'd you hear that one, onlainari?

IMO the new stealths will be a diffrent choice to the current ones, and the current ones will still be in the codex (wheather this is likely is another question...). i got this from them having diffrent names (XV15, XV25).
