Ignis, I don't know if it's just me but that white 1k son in the middle has a really eye catching scheme. Not that it seems to much like a 1k son's scheme, but it just really pops.

Other than that, I really like how you use the greens on your models, as they appear very bold.

On the other hand, the red and gold on the helmet things does seem kind of dull, like maybe a brighter version of both the colors would suit you better.

Hej BIGphil22X, thanks for the feedback.

Thing with the White is that I like it a lot, and it´s simple as hell,
this model that you see is just primed and then one layer green and one layer gold on a few places,
thing about how nice that would really propper painted.

But I don´t think it´s 1ks neither, nor any other army really.. not that Grim and such... it´s a shame really, but I certainly will keep it in mind and hope to use it another day.

Regarding the Red/Gold on the helmet, just brighten it up or use something else?

Any feedback on the draft of the DH?

Well I've finally sat down and started painting again... my DH list changed quite a lot since last time, i use them as SM allies now,
read more about that here: http://www.librarium-online.com/forums/space-marine-army-lists/189634-1750-pt-dh-sm.html#post1664226

Fluff wise there are going to be Exorcists, or a splinter fraction of those anyways, haven't decided that part yet.

Here is the GKT-BC anyways:

The SM-HQ (pedro count as)
I used a emperors champ model and the pedro model, to get the stormbolter and the crusader helmet,
all my models will have that type of helmets:

Model with Incinerator:

Regular GK

Justicar:

I will have to change a few things on the bases so they are still slightly WIP...

Next up will be the Tactical Squad (DA Vet bodies, BT crusader helmets)
Feedback is very welcome.

I finally got the Tactical Squad done, well a few details a still missing, but for now they are gonna do..
They are set together from DA Vets with BT Crusader Helmets, the Champ got a Chaos fist, just because it looks awesome.

Champ:

Special Weapons:

Squad:

Next up will be those two (their arms are magnetized):

Or my Sternguards, just need all the bits first. (DA Vet bodies, BA Sanguinary Wings & (combi)bolterarms and of course BT Helmets again, gonna be fun):

(Pictures are taken half in the dark, better ones follow at some point... )
Feedback and or Tips are as always welcome and appreciated.

Thanks :)!
I actually think I will go over all the models at some later stage to do the highlighting properly...

noooooo, not even more guardsmen, they are already fairly annoying/hard to kill! :p!!
On the other hand, can you ever have enough?

Should I take those with me on Sunday? :)!

Advice needed

Work on the Dreadnoughts is a bit postponed, hopefully will start on Thursday evening, or during the Weekend..

Instead i´ve been thinking about the currently painted models and wanted to get a bit a better result when painting.

Currently they get a White basecoat, then a 1/3 blood red, 1/3 shining gold, 1/3 blazing orange armour and then a black wash..
The cloth is black and got a shining gold drybrush.

I´ve added some highlights now with blazing orange and then drybrushed with white but i´m still not completely happy:

Here to compare the two:

what would you change with the painting?

The Dreads are still not painted, but at least I got done building my Sternguards (besides the one with the Multi Melta) and the Libby is built as well.
All for my Exorcist army..

Dreadnought

Well I finally finished my first Dread..

Front:
Toy Art Collectable Souvenir Sculpture

Back:
Toy Red Lego Mecha Machine

Closeup:
Toy Building Wood Metal Brick

What do you all think? He's the first of two "regular" Dreads for my Exorcists.

I'll use him with a Assault Cannon and a CCW/Stormbolter load-out.
The second Dread will get a Plasma Cannon and the CCW/Stormbolter.
The weapons are magnetized, so it's easy to swap them...
(well some minor fixes are still needed to correct errors)

Feedback is very welcome!

I like him. I've always liked the Exorsists.

I think the Red and especially the Gold could do with a highlight or two. Gold's pretty easy to highlight - Add mithril Silver to Shining gold and it comes out quite nice.

What are you plans for the base?

Same here, I think their fluff is plain awesome...

I never really got the thing with highlight, where exactly would you add it?

Another thing, since I use a 1:1:1 mix of blood red, shining gold and blazing orange as base and then wash it, what would you highligt the red with, just take the blazing orange?
But thanks for the feedback, I'll definitely do that!

I've been thinking about having all the bases with small Lavastones, but I wait a bit with painting that since i've never tried that... There are some nice tutorials out there though.
