Just because somene knows there are agents of the imperium on this world does not mean they know who we are. We have but one warship against an entire world that has been taken over by an unknown enemy. If we play our hand to early we will probably end up regretting it. The primary objective of my service is to do what I have to for the good of mankind, meaning that the lives of the few are worth less than the lives of many if it can be helped. Right now, we are those few. Riener's gaze never faulters as he and Ghent stare each other square in the eyes. One a man whose past has left him a dark shell and the other a man whose mind is a fragment of its former self.

The guardsman looks up, seemingly unsurprised at the sword being held over his head. He then uses his final breath to speak, "You will...find them in the...former industrial district. Factory block...1...1...3...8. Look for...Commander Dahl. Beware...trust...not...your...eyes...in this place...shadows are everywhere. For...the Emperor." The dying soldier closes his eyes, clearly at peace now that his mission has been accomplished and awaiting the killing stroke.

After the Tech Priest has given his blessing I kneel down next to the Guardsman and mutter "May the Emperor grant you the peace in the next life you never found in this one". Then I lightly search him (OOC:I am looking for key cards security clearance codes that kind of thing).

Corran stood at attention, and gave the doomed guardsmen a final salute, then turned and walked a few steps, facing away from the dying man.

He could not stand to see the death of a fellow guardsmen in such a manner. It is better to die on your feet, fighting, than fall to an assasin's blade, whether it is putting you out of your misery or not.

"Factory block 1138, Commander Dahl" Corran recited, hoping to drown out the sounds of the guardsman's dying scream when the inevitable happened, 'Pray to the God-emperor the assasin gets it right the first time, having a second try won't be the highlight of anyone's day' he thought grimly to himself.

After the blessing are said Heiro swings the sword down Has hard as he could so it would be a clean cut. "THis should be easy" he thought to himself "this target is not moving."

Theobold Ghent: You find nothing of interest on the soldier save the rosarius that he carried with him. Presumably he was a religious man who had faith in the Emperor. Perhaps he thought it would bring him luck in battle. Who knows, now? Dead men tell no tales after all.

Pleacus looks over at Reiner for a second, and flicks his Bio-Sensors and targeting arrays back on, setting the range to max, and adjusting the clarity and squelch to compensate. Pleacus urns his head slowly in an arc before him, and anywhere that may harbour answers, a way foward, or a new threat.

**OOC: Nite, do I get anything other thn the members of the retinue and the dead dewd?**

Shooting off another mind-impulse to his Servitors, he wondered (almost out loud) "Where are they? Omnissiah, protect the Little Ones"

Pulling himself from his silent reverie, the Tech Priest 'cast.

++ Now is not th time fo mourning. Now is the time for action. Now is the time for retribution. Now is the time for deliverance, and damnation, and the wrath of the Emperor++

The words bounced off the hard walls, filling the hallway. Still, none spoke.

Pleacus: There is nothing within sensor range for the moment. If there are any mutants in the area, they probably have some way of masking themselves from your Bio-Sensor. For the moment, however, the area seems clear; there isn't even any sign of that mysterious Space Marine you saw earlier. However, you begin to pick up some anomalous sound after a few seconds; there is something, perhaps in the air or the rocks, that is causing natural interference but it wasn't there from the very start.

I stand up and look around. "well sh**, things have taken a turn for the worse" I take out and light up my half cigar again. "things certainly have taken a turn for the worse haven't they, I remember when I was in a bar down in Thelosoak IV things got pretty hairy and you know what my CO said he said son we have got to keep our head cos if we don't those crazy mudsuckers will well I tell you something I took those words to heart indeed I wrote em down and pinned em to the top of my helmet. But even as bad as it was there I feel this is going to get a whole lot worse with the mud and the blood and the screaming, I just know this is goin g to end up as a bad Thorn re-run you know what I am saying...."

OOC:I keep talking in the same manner, Corran you know sometimes I get these crazy fits when I see dead guardsmen I should snap out of it soon..

Riener quickly stands away from the dead man, then whips his head around as Ghent begins to ramble on. Do not speak unless given permission, you comprimise the tech-fathers safety with every act of ignorance. Still acting his part, there had not been enough time to see if the two were capable of acting. Especially when it came down to roiles where obedience without question and utter silence were of the beggining tenants of their roles. This world bears the signs of corruption to a degree or another, but if that corruption has spread to the mechanicus of this world then the guises of Corran, Ghent, and myself wont last a moment. He thinks to himself, while waiting for Pleacus to give him and the others 'orders' as far as what they are to do next.

"Emporer damn their hides! The tratoirs use our own tools against us?! They shall pay an even dearer cost for meddling with the blessed icons of the Omnissiah!" Pleacus thought as he changed some settings for his bio-sensors

**OOC: Scanning on the specific frequency of the jam, trying to find a more exact source**

**OOC: Oh, another thing - are there any blank spots in my scan? By that, I mean, am I getting a "null" result when I should be getting something (eg: Rock)?**

++ We cannot waste much more time here.++
++ My guard, advance with caution, and keep those weapons up! ++
++It is imperative that we find the control room, or in the very least an acess panel...++
Pleacus stopped casting for a second, pistions wheezing. It would seem as if he had more to say, but something had gripped the old tech-man. Instead of discoursing, he instead raised his Triplex-pattern las rifle, and started to slowly advance down the corridor before the party.

Corran held his shotgun in the low-ready position as he advanced along-side the Tech-priest. 'That so-called 'space-marine' and this 'Smiurgh' will pay for what they have done, whether I take my revenge in this life or the next' he thought grimly to himself.
