I enjoy it, but because I found that if I end up frustrated at some point, I lose interest for a day or so, but I have about 10+ characters I can switch to and keep playing.

It was entertaining for a while. I guess I played it for about 6 months. I haven't really found an mmorpg that can hold my interest for much more than that so in my opinion it is about average.
I find it's actually saved me money.

Normally I'd buy about 1 or 2 game every month.. That's about £20-60 a month just on games, which was obscene. With WoW, I pay £8 a month, I believe, plus the £35 initial cost, but because it uses up my free time I don't buy other games nearly as often.
***Serious Warning***

My friend used to be a party animal.. I used to catch up with him for a beer after work.. He used to come and chase girls with us..

Not anymore.. Poor bloke!

BUT.. i have had a small run around in the WoW and i liked it.. I'm going to get it because as Mantis says.. If you are out an about buying new games, Warhammer, beer.. and whatever..as i am.. this will cut that down.. amazing hey?

Hey is there a Warhammer mmorpg comming out ??
WOW rocks man. Especially if you can get into a decent guild. The thing that really makes the game for me is the PVP. Right now I'm on a PVE server (Zul'gin) but after I get my main character to 60 I plan on making a character on a PVP server.
Sounds interesting..I think I might buy it if my dad lets me although he probally won't because I tend to get addicted to online games

Just one quick question: Does anyone know how powerfull a connection/computer you have to have to run it? I have hi-speed internet but a rather slow computer so can someone point me to a website or give me an answer on what the requirements are for computer power and memory it takes up? Thanks!

Strangely, I was running it on my 56k at home and it seemed faster than the 256k I use at uni. Not excellent, but definately playable.

According to the box, you need a 800 MHz processor (1500 recommended) and 256 megabytes of RAM (512 recommended.) I only have a laptop, so I turn all the performance options right down anyway to try and stop the poor thing heating up..
In my opinion to run smoothly, you will want 768mb of RAM.

Another Warning:

If you are currently studying for exams DO NOT GET THIS GAME. And I really mean that. I canceled my account about a week ago and never looked back.

The game is great, untill you get to max level. Then its just a grind fest (snore)
Get this game if you have a lot of time, and can pay every month.

If you can't afford it, then i would go for GUILDWARS because taht too is an awesome game which is free monthly.

True, it is incredibly addictive.. and it can be very tempting to go home and just sit there all evening levelling. If you have something important going on in your life which you need time to focus on, think hard about whether you can spare the time for a game like WoW.

That said, different people handle it differently. A friend of mine has a lvl 60 character and an up and coming lvl 30ish, and is still top of our course.
