Hi, Im looking into Khorne, i want just marked units, no marauders and such.

Its going to be 2500 points list.

Up to now ive decided i want....

2 units of 5 flesh hounds
1 unit of 10 bloodletters with FC
2 units of 20 warriors 2HW shields FC MOK
1unit of knights 12 strong MOK
exalted on juggernaught with collar and SoM (joins knights to make 7 wide 2 deep)

Ive been thinking of a unit of 17 chosen with MOK FC 2HW shieldswith a lord in there too.

Thoughts?

1 unit of 10 bloodletters with FC
No Standard, i explained in chat

2 units of 20 warriors 2HW shields FC MOK
Drop them down to 1 strong, loose standards

1unit of knights 12 strong MOK
Cut these in half, add Music and Champ to each

exalted on juggernaught with collar and SoM
Have him join one of the Knight units, and drop 2 Knights from the unit. Make the other Knights Chosen.

Ive been thinking of a unit of 17 chosen with MOK FC 2HW shieldswith a lord in there too.
Keep it at 11 Chosen, no banner, and have a Hero here. I think if youre going to run a Lord, he should be with Knights.


Look at adding 2-4 Khornate Spawns. Also a unit or two of Khorne Minoaurs, with GWs, some nice high Str attacks there.

Hmmm. I think that you might suffer against armies with a lure. Therefore I have designed this little 2500pts list to let you know my thoughts. It is a small elite army, but it hits HARD!!!

Lord of Chaos: 408pts
Mark of Khorne

The problem with your original idea is you have no really fast distraction units, or bulk. Perhaps a rethink to allow warhounds and a couple of beast herds to shield, would work for you.

i have a 2000 pt list that goes something like this:

Chaos lord: blade of blood, shield, MoK, armor of damnation

Exhalted Champion- MoK, great weapon, helm of many eyes
Aspiring Champion- shield, army standard

Core:
12 warriors- FC, shields, MoK
12 warriors- FC, 2HWs, chosen, Mok
16 marauders- flails, light armor
10 hounds
5 knights- chosen, MoK, FC

Special:
5 Flesh Hounds
10 bloodletters- FC

not sure on pts but i think its around 2000

I made this last night. I also thought, why do i need musicains? If my units of 12 loose a combat there pretty dead anyway and my entire army ignore panic so i dropped them.

Musicians are so cheap I always bring them along. There's nothing worse than losing a combat because your opponent shelled out those half a dozen points and you didn't.

Exalted w/ MOK, shield, 2hw and gw.
Weapon options are an either/or choice, so you can't give him a great weapon and two hand weapons.

I'm also wary of characters in 4-strong units of knights. With hits being randomised and no look out sir from the start, it could get messy for him quite quickly. The comedy factor of killing the juggernaut is even bigger.
