I haven't painted for a while but will try to get back in the hobby this summer. I consider myself more of a converter/modeler than painter.

Most of these pics have been on this forum before, but here you go...

Unfortunately it isn't freehand I was just careful with the transfers. I do have a model with freehand but the pictures aren't great. Have a look at my sig links for more of my models think there is a link to my photobucket on one thread as well.
Thanks for the comment

While I'm not as good of a painter than my predecessors in this thread I'm still satisfied with how the marines from Assault on Black Reach turned out for me.

Not sure what you're talking about their Orkbert. Those Marines look rather nice. It's a nice colour scheme by the way. What's their name?
Thanks. For them I had decided for a color scheme before actually having the models. I did check beforehand how Bubonic Brown, Dark Angels Green, Enchanted Blue and Mithril Silver would work out as a combo And especially to see if Mithril Silver is still a strong contrast on Bubonic Brown (which is a rather light brown), but thankfully it does.

And what I mean are the faces of the captain and the two sergeants, which are a combination of drybrushing and inking (and some white for the teeth), which isn't too much discernible at the current picture size, but I didn't show a close-up for a reason :struggle: (but at least with roughly 6000 points in fantasy empire it means that my way of painting faces has accumulated quite some experience ;))

But I have to say that i also like that color scheme that much that I'm going to expand them. Not only are they my first army to have a color scheme first, but one where tat color scheme is the main driving force.

Oh, and they do have a name: they are the Guardians of Gaya's Legacy (or Gaya's Guard for short )

Completely unrelated: Chaos Spawn made mostly from leftover ogre arms.

Just realised why I like the Marines Colour scheme so much.......... It's the same as my Stirland force....... ;) Are you going to chuck some of your Empire up? Its always nice to see other peoples work (so I can steal ideas mainly). After 10k of Imperial Guard I know your pain with faces.......

That Spawn....... Looks highly Spawn like. Weirds me out a little.

Cheers man. It freaks me out slightly that the sergeant came out in 1996.......
