I've heard of a few places online that actually sell plasticard tubes, angled shapes, I-beams, and all sorts of other extruded forms. I don't have the site immediately on hand, but that ought to be just a google search away. Buy a stick of that, some green stuff, and you should be able to come up with something that works.
