I bow to your imagination my friend that is an awsome name for the little beast. It will definatly be putting H.A.R.K.E.R. on one of its panels.

Well I managed to get a bit more done this morning before work! Stocks and grips painted, stripes painted and plasma coils just getting an ink wash and then gloss. Its burnt melta barrels and chipped helmets tuesday morning wednesday morning. To be honest, Zeus is a faster painter than Tom. And he's a mythical god.
Nice work on those few dude, and I am surprised. You usually do much better with your painting on your time off. Now, snap to it!![]()

Thanks mate. Im loving this now. So close to finishing them! Argh!Marvellous work, both of you!
Dan - I'll let you off for your previous communication breakdown due to the amount of progress you've made, they are really starting to come together! Although your posts did make me hungry due to repeated mentions of bread based products and dinner. I don't even have any ******** jaffa cakes in my coat pocket!
Is it going to be camo painted?I bow to your imagination my friend that is an awsome name for the little beast. It will definatly be putting H.A.R.K.E.R. on one of its panels.

Your speed now is putting us all to shame. You're definitely a binge painter! Thanks mate. Im loving this now. So close to finishing them! Argh!
I am a binger! This speed is just an echo of what I used to be like back in the Iron days. I built and painted 3 rhinos in two weeks, then did the same for three preds after that.Your speed now is putting us all to shame. You're definitely a binge painter!
Its just about focusing on the end. If you dont paint them, they will never be painted.I wish I could find the time / motivation to paint like that, I really do.
Still things are finally moving for me in the house situation, and once we get moved into a new place of our own I may have a spare room to convert into my nerd room (PC, Miniatures etc), so after that I might actually start painting properly!
Thanks mate, I think the kharki pulls them away from being boring. Its that flash of light colour.Terrific. You painted them dull enough but yet not boring.
Have some rep!
Cheers,
LS
The first few days nearly killed me, so much needed painting in such detail! I really enjoyed them towards the end, I enjoyed doing all the armour and the rifles.Great work! A really impressive effort for two weeks worth of work, considering how much detail and effort goes in to them.
His chances of survival are 0!Ha, I like that last trooper! "I don't care if it's a minefield, we're going that-a-way!"
The poor guy with the plasma gun, though. Do you take your chances with the gun or the mines?
Fantastic weathering on the signs, as always.
I was thinking the same, a few more might seem silly! The signs look really good and are a nice touch of colour on the models. I wouldn't make any more if I were you, they'd be too many IMO. A minefield is signaled, true, but not that much!
Cheers,
LS
Im glad you believe so, I was really pleased with how they came out. A very fruitful evening of painting! They are great man, those signs just add so much character to models which are already dripping with it.
I was thinking of doing a trench marker, somthing like Trench Section C:12345 'Welcome to Hell' or somthing.I have to agree with all the praise already heaped upon you mate; they look absolutely perfect for running into enemy fire. The minefield markers are great too - perhaps you could do some standalone ones to use as objective markers (only Krieg would try to hold a minefield)!
What's left to do now? Is that all the infantry complete?
They all joined the Krieg to die in the Emperors name, most of the Korp will be on those markers! Its a good idea, but just doesnt quite fit with the fluff, if you cant make it home you will be put down by the 'medic'.you should do some objective markers as retards that have stepped on the mines maybe....couple of bits of zombies and skeles loads of tamiya clear red and black and brown ink.....some serious GORE!!!!!!!!!
Freehand I wish, there smaller than my little finger nail! They are the Forgeworld decal sheet, they are to flat colours, bright red and white, cut, modded and painted. Johnsons Klear is pure awesome, it really gives the old weathered look with washes of browns over the top, really takes the colour down. This is great stuff Dan. They are really well painted, kudos. I love the little 'mines' signs on the bases, really well done and they look very old and battered. Freehanded?
Kuffy
You could always go with the classics, I believe a certain Dante's line "Abandon hope, all ye who enter here" would hit the spot with a certain sense of theatre...I was thinking of doing a trench marker, somthing like Trench Section C:12345 'Welcome to Hell' or somthing.
Flying over mine fields is definitely the best way to cross them! I look forward to seeing the tanks - I was going to suggest maybe making a mine flail for some of them, but after seeing an (admittedly quite good) conversion someone has done, I think it would alter the profile of the tank too much:That is all the infantry done that are in the army. There maybe be a few more added to the Vendetta base (with more mine fields!) and the odd display base (with even more mine fields!). Its now tank building time!
Is that the £50 set with the Ryza turret, mars alpha hull, tank commander trench rails and filters? Definitely a nice piece of kit!I have £50 of resin on my desk at present, Demolisher 1.
It is a little on the large side!![]()
So I'll allow you to not do that![]()
Yup, Ive got three of those beasts + loads of extras for the chimeras. Thanks Forge World! (Kuffy understands). Is that the £50 set with the Ryza turret, mars alpha hull, tank commander trench rails and filters? Definitely a nice piece of kit!
