Sabre Defence Platforms: http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/Sabredp.htm

Looks like a twin linked heavy weapon on a AV 10-10-10 open-topped platform or something... and is that a quad-linked heavy stubber I see?

Cadian Vehicle Crew: http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/cadtc.htm

Looks good to me, but I think I'll stick with the cheaper alternatives on the accessory sprue.

EDIT: I absoluteley love the quad-stubber. Defenatly high up on my "Get next" list. :>

That quad linked stubber is great.. reminds me of old soviet anti aircraft guns. The vehicle crew models would be great for tank aces/commanders in armoured company too.. Can't see many others using them though.
I really like the crewman who looks like a cross between Hunter Thompson and a State Trooper.
I just got home to see the Forgeworld email sitting in my inbox. I'm very excited about the new Cadian FW range and their latest is up to their usualy superb viual standards, however I don't think I will be buying any.

I've never been a fan of tank commanders, (although I almost put one of their Storm Troopers in my Chimera!) so they were pretty much out of the question - but I did like their defence platforms. I love the idea of the 2x twin heavy bolters! I did a double take when I first saw this... I see a conversion coming!

Also, I'm still a bit disheartened after buying the infantry upgrade pack. £16 for 5 tiny sprues of resin. I saw it coming but I still don't like it. Ah well, it makes my command squad look destinctive, so it was worth it - but I won't be handing any more money over to them for a while.
Question?

First Question, do those guys that make that stuff deliver to the U.S.? I really hope they do...

Also, anyone know how to convert the equal of 1 Euro to American cash, I'm only 12, help me out a little  .
I have long been a fan of Catachans. They are probably my favorite IG model range, but looking at forgeworlds Cadians may have just caused me to switch armies. I'm seriously considering dropping my old Deathworld guys off on eBay and picking up some nice new Cadians with Forgeworld equipment upgrades.

Yes Shadow Ace, they do ship to the US - and for currency conversion try http://www.xe.com

I hope you have a bottomless wallet, Hourglass  - Although I find them a rip off, I have to say £16 is good money for the visual improvment. I would only do it for command squads and veterans personaly though.

All these Cadian releases have also refreshed my intrest in conversion, I've done more conversions in this week than I have in the last 6 months!
ohhhh, my wallet has a bottom. Although my friends wallet doesn't. He dropped 350 dollars on one girl when we went out clubbing last night. Maybe I'll hit HIM up for some money. :)
Well, personally I've got a long list of Forgeworld stuff I'm just waiting to get my hands on, it's just that I prioritize the things that can be used everywhere first, but I'll defenatly get a few of the upgrade packs, a box of cadians and a box of catachans when making my hardened veterans. It'll be one expensive squad, but I don't mind paying alot if it means having good looking models... perhap's I'll even add some plastic SM scout bitz to it aswell for good measure.

Well depending on how low you are willing to go, you could dress in drag and try and get him to drop you $350!

I agree Kaiser. Their stuff is too pretty to turn down. Oh, I can't stay mad at Forgeworld - besides, I still need to get another Styges Vanquisher before the price hike!
I thought about picking up the veteran pack on my last order - but to be honest I would never use the shotties.

By the way - I feel that I should share this with you all before you buy this pack: I emailed Forgeworld regarding the pouches shown in the pictures below, I noticed that they were apparently absent from the pictures of the sprues.

Their response was as follows:

Forgeworld said:
the circled pouch is not the one from sprue H. Sprue H has a knife and then a pouch with a grenade mounted above it (you snip of the gate between them). The circled pouch is only available on the sprue from the respirator kit and you get 2 of them. How these appeared on the other kits i do not know. I will grab Mark Bedford on Monday (he put the all together) and will get some more pics taken!
I also think the information in that email is innacurate. You get 2 of these pouches from the Veteran kit, but not the respirator kit. I went ahead and ordered anyway - but I felt you should be aware of this.

Love those Sabre platforms, but would'nt be cooler if those guns could be mounted on a Chimera chasis?
The quad heavy stubber's look quite nice, but I would have liked to see a gunshield on the platform. Its just plain good sense to have one.

And maybe a seat with hydraullics so it would be more like the AA batteries that you see in most WWII FPS games.

But I guess they were going for low tech.

Alll I have to say is even if those guns were totally balanced in weight on their pivot, that guardsmans going to be building some pipes swinging it around.

Thanks for posting the links.

Well, ahem, just leaving the club with her cost 250, but I'm sure that by this morning he's very happy with his choice. I'm fairly sure that unwrapping me..... wouldn't hold the same joy. :)

Back to the topic at hand. I can't see the newst forgeworld pics right now because the computer I'm on blocks any web site from foreign countries. However, I did recently see the upgrade sprues and I am in love with the respirator upgrades. Totally in love. In fact, I've been thinking about making an "armageddon" style armored company and having a couple of armored fist squads with those cadians.
;) OHHHHHHHH......... The appendage is not noodley anymore!:w00t:

I love both the Lascannon and Stubber platforms! Crap, my wife is gonna kill me................

Kaiser, damn you for finding them!;)
Well, I went home for lunch and took a look at the new pics. I'm quite impressed with the stubber platform and the Autocannon platform. I may have to acquire one of them in the near future.

Yeah, my wife is gonna kill me too... and she just bought a new Glock.

Would you rather I didn't? ;)

Now, next I'd like to see a Chaingun sentinel. Something like S5 Ap4 Heavy 4...

I head somebody say that Heavy Bolter sentinels had been added in IA3, however I havn't read the book yet - and obviously only the Multi-Melta, Missile launcher and missile pod sentinels have actualy been made by FW.
Actually if you buy the Multi Melta Sentinel from FW, then you get the Heavy Bolter option too. Both are included.
I just got the cadian respirator upgrade packet over the weekend, and I gotta say that at $31 US per set, it would be ess-pensive to make a whole army with these bits. I thought I just needed one pack to make SWS and HQ plastics to go with a mostly metal grenadier/ST/carapace army, but unfortunately the selection of heads means I'll have to order another. If you're going for the clean, regimented look, you only really get seven useful heads in this set, as there's one officer cap, one bare head, and one "battle damage" head, which isn't really clear from the FW photos.

But man alive, between the upgrades and the basic plastics, these guys are pushing fifty bucks per squad. Ouch.
