They just bringing out updated rules of necromunda from fanatic. As far as i can see, there are no rules changes except some minor clear-ups.

Used to play it loads, but can't find any opponents now.

Everyone seems to be leaving the smaller games and playing 40K/WFB.

The rulebook is done...It has been released in the UK but there is no release date for the US yet...I heard they might not release it to to many other parts of the world...

The rules were damn good and I don't think they need to be changed, but GW no longer makes some of the dice neccesary so they tinkered with the rules...as far as I've heard these have been good changes so far, but at least one rule change bothers me. The Hand Flamer used to have its own template...since they dont want to spend money to make new templates, the Hand Flamer uses the current flame template, but is only good for one shot. After that it is usuable only in HtH...Lame...

That Really sucks 'cause the Hand Flamer was a key element in my undefeated and rightfully feared Esher Gang

Gang rating is a mix of Equipment and Experiance. It's kind of a way to judge how good a Gang is. It's a close relative of the 40k points system. However when playing a against a gang with a far superior gang rating your Gangers will gain more experiance, and if you win you get a bonus to your income as the local merchants hear of your great victory...

You start with 1000 credits to hire gang members and equip them, each gang member has varying amounts of experiance, ranging from 60+ for a Leader or a Heavy, to 20+ for a starting Ganger, to Zero for Juves... when you're done Hiring your Gang members and calculating thier Experiance you add them together to get Gang Rating.

Much like DnD when you reach a new level of experiance you get an advancement...

Bornindarkness, i would recomend starting necromuda!!

Cheack out gamesworkshops Specialist Games Site:

Link to Necromunda Resources!

I think it tells you when the new rulebook comes out.

one of the best things about necromunda is that it is faily cheap to play.
I got my Gang for 29 pounds and i will never need to get any more. (appart from the odd weapon, but they can come out of my spare 40k bits)

Go for an Escher gang!!!

What's Necromunda, i think ive seen it somewhere
Necromunda is a game of gang warfare in an underhive city. The more your gang fights, the more experianced (Represented in Stat increases and speical skills) and richer (and therefor better Equiped) it gets. It really is a very fun game, and easy to learn too (its rules are very similer to 40ks really)

Try it and get some friends involved!

BTW theres an Orky version called Gorka Morka which is more vehical based. But finding opponants for that is almost impossible!

Online... Doesn't that defat the purpose of a "tabletop" wargame? Necro is far better played F2F than over the Internet.

And in all of my online gaming experiences, rampant cheating was the order of the day. It always seemed there was some Low Self-Esteem 10 year old on the other end who thought winning was evertyhing and that cheating is cool...

Necromunda is the best game GW makes, the weapons and background of 40K with small squads that you grow attached to and create a story as you play, a lil bit of RPing with your wargaming. Not to mention it does not cost much to play, you need anywhere from 3-15 models tops, compared to 40K or WFB which requires tons of minis....

Gorka Morka is almost the same game as Necro, just with Orks as the "gangs" they include vehicles in Gorka Morka which makes for a different game, and lots of collisions. Most of the games of Gorka Morka I played were basically demolition derbies...

But becareful Necromunda can become very addictive...

Try it I'm sure you'll like it...

Well it's been a while scince I've been on these boards but I'm back! The only problem I have with people using other models as necromunda figures is it becomes too easy to give your guys all kinds of powerfull equipment.
