Need Some Help Please

First off I have never played WFB before. My friends have started armies and I have decided to start with them. I was looking at the choices for the armies and two choices stuck out. Bretonnians and Dwarfs. So I picked bretonnians because they look fun and i dont have to paint small little dwarfs. So since i am just starting i was wondering what i should buy. I still need to purchase the codex. If you can help me with what to buy to get a good army and what not to buy it would greatly help. Also if you could tell me what are the Bretonnians strenghts and weaknesses it would help too. By the way my friends play Orks and Gobs and Lizardmen, what tactics are good for facing them?

Hi DerkaDerka so you chosen to start Bretonnians even tho its best if you post it in the "Thinking Of Starting Bretonnians?" thread anyways nevermind...right to start you off since you say you just started i recommend the boxset or the rule book on its own.

And for you to start the army off i'd suggest the army book first then decide what kind of army you would like? if you look in the "Thinking Of Starting Bretonnians?" there are loads of types been exampled.

If i can help you, i would advise you to purchase PLENTY of knights. These are by far the best and most useful bretonnian units. Also try to always get the charge during battle, this greatly improves your chances if you use the lance formation
