just wondering which regiment and heavy weapon platforms IG players would like to see done in plastics we have catachan and Cadian so what would be nice to see next. Me personally i hope Mordians I've always like them.

Well it's a bit of an unfair poll as we already know the Vostryans will be the next out, which are basicaly re-imaged Valhallans. There has also been a lot of hype about Tallarns recently, with the Forgeworld releases and the GW re-releases. So I wouldn't be surprised if they were released as plastics.
vostryans?
hmmm ive never heard of them?
whats the story with them and when are they out?
I would prefer steel legion. If they redid those guys, they could afford to have longer trenchcoats, and such, which would just amp up their look.
I would really like longcoats so that I can start a Death Korps of Krieg army. So plastic steel legion with longcoats will work for me.
Steel legion all the way.. with optinal death corps of krieg helmets..
Steel Legion all the way baby!!!:) They're the coolest looking Guard IMO, so they should be next!
I'd have to vote other, for something new. I mean there already are metal versions of all these regiments and, in the case of the Steel Legion, they aren't even that old.

I wouldn't mind a continuation of the re-imagination pattern seen with the plastic Vosties building on metal Valhallans. It allows for more regimental diversity as players can make a Vostie regiment, a Valhallan regiment, or mix the models as vets, conscripts, or whatnot to make their own army unique. Similarly, plastic Krieg troops would mesh nicely with metal Steel Legion. However, I could stand to see some plastic Tallarns that are more in line with the FW Tallarns. More T. E. Lawrence, less "Iron Sheik."
I like the tallarns most. I play cadian (like everyone else  ), and I don't think there would ever be any chance in Hell of me EVER making another 2000 points of IG, but if I could choose a different theme I would have gone Tallarns. I think the IG way of weak "hordes" and cheaply built equipment would go very nicely with the Fremen/Taliban style of models.
But, I think it's too late for me... I'm cadian, and I'm going to stick with them! (they *are* pretty sweet, after all...) (come on, guys... they do look a little different from all the other cadians...) :shifty:
I would say Mordian, but seeing as how I already have a pure Mordian 96 piece metal army that took me 2 years to find and paint, I'd be severely pissed if they all of a sudden came out with a MUCH LESS expensive plastic line.

My vote goes for valhallan.
Bring back the Praetorians!

It's only the expense that stops me from making a Praetorian army. I'd love to make the usual Zulu themed army, with loads of union jacks etc.
Steel Legion :w00t:
I agree the steel legion in plastic would be great. Its a real shame the vostroyans aren't in plastic however as these guys do look very nice as well. I guess its just another army I'll look at and admire but never own.

In case anyone hasn't seen them yet, heres a link off warseer...

i think i'd rather see valhallans, that would have been my first choice for an IG army if it had been in cheaper easier to model plastics... probably have gone with an all-infantry army.

although i must say, i do like those medievil-ish / ww2-looking guardsmen that are shown on the uk.games-workshop website, but all those conversions are a bit costly for a 6 point guardsmen.
We've got plastic jungle fighting / muscle men

We've got plastic body armor wearing gritty soldiers

We need up tight looking dressy soldiers in plastic. Think of the conversions. (plastic commissars, officers, etc)
you know, they make look cool wearing them, but dress uniforms are horribly and really, people who wear them into combat deserve their impending deaths

Haha, I agree. I entertained the idea of buying a squad of mordians (?) to turn into officers for my cadian army, but ended up just converting some cadians instead.

if you could get an insider from GW you could sell all your metal mordians before the annoncement is made that there remaking the mordians.then with you cash from the old mordians you could finance your own plastic army......

my choice
steel legion
then icould convert it to a krieg army
im starting a karnak skull takers army mixing catachans and warhammer marauders just filing off the chaosy marks should work quite nicely i think
