Can Obliterators have a mark of Chaos ?

It does not say anything about them in the list in "Books of Chaos "
Lords, PCSM, CSM, Chaos bikes, Raptors and Havocs are all it lists.

Sorry for the newbie quesion ... but I am new to the game.

Since they're not in the "what units can have what marks" table they can't have a mark of any kind.

So this means you would not be able to use them in a Tzeentch or Khorne army right ?

You could use them in a Khorne or Tzeentch army, provided that it is not a specific god aligned chapter such as the world eaters or thousand sons.

For example, you could have Black Legion army with a Khorne general, and a Obliterator as an elite choice.

Just to add further clarification, you can use oblits with any of the 4 gods, provided you are playing a black legion army.

That is correct. Also note that you don't get the free AC for having sacred numbers for playing Black Legion with a God marked general.
