Just was wondering what kind of units I should be taking into a small 750 points game, probably high numbers is the best thing for me right? with some speed in the form of a trukk?

No idea what i'm vsing, its an actual tourney, and it will be my first, I have a chaos army as well but I know how to set them up and its all taken care of, but I'd like to get to know my orks alot more...

I have plans to convert my (only) 32 strong ork army into patches of special units, I have a small squad of 5 flashers in progress, and plans to make some mek/cybork boys and finally make a mek boy with a shokkgun...
are these choices worth all the trouble?
and if so, how much is too much?

any help would be appreciated

If i were to design a 750 that could handle most things i would probally roll with 3 squads
X12 Boyz, decked out nob-trukk red paint, renforced ram, 12 lootas, and a mek with a shokk attack gun. Shoot em ded then chop em up in turn 2.

Thats what I was sort of thinking, is there any use in making the other orks like mek boys and burnas flash gitz? or are those kind of specialists more tailored to beat a space marine army?

Well, considering that 180 Boyz with no Nobz/upgrades are only 720pts, ya shouldn't have too much problem with a list.

I think my Slugga squads that have 11 boys, a PK Nob, and a Trukk came out to around 170pts. Thats with Stikkbombs and Red Paint and all that.

I think my Slugga squads that have 11 boys, a PK Nob, and a Trukk came out to around 170pts. Thats with Stikkbombs and Red Paint and all that.
That seems high. I don't use stikkbombs, but my count with red paint comes out to around 147 points. I really don't see a reason to go higher than that.

For a 750 point army, here's what I'd do (although you might not have all these models):


Big Mek w/ Shokk attack gun (95)

11 Slugga Boyz and 1 Nob w/pk in red trukk (147)

11 Slugga Boyz and 1 Nob w/pk in red trukk (147)

11 Slugga Boyz and 1 Nob w/pk in red trukk (147)

Warbuggy w/rokkits (35)

Warbuggy w/rokkits (35)

9 Lootas (135)

Looted Wagon w/2 big shoota and hardcase (55)


The looted wagon is the cheapest distraction money can buy. Just run it forward, let it get blown up, and then use it as cover for your trukks, as they dart around the next turn and get the assault.


In any case, the best thing you can do is get your boyz in trukks. They're cheap, and incredibly effective.

Yeah I was thinking along the same lines as that, except a trukk with some mega nobs in it instead, and the rest of the points I don't know... but tankbustas or lootas can't go wrong.

Well, take your 147pts, add stikkboms (159pts), then give the nob 'eavy armor and a bosspole, that becomes 169pts.

Granted, this was for bigger games...

I believe thats wrong, for 750 points you only get 125 boys, you cant therefore get 180 for 720 points.
Did I put 180? Thats nowhere near correct. First I'm dyslexic and now I'm screwing my simple math up...:X

Anyway, for 720pts you can have 120 unmodified boyz.
