Hello everyone!

We have been posting on the forum for a while and we don't want to fill the thread with our posts so we have thought that creating a single thread where we can upload some of the orders we are currently painting could be a really nice idea.

Greetings!

SISTERS OF BATTLE EXORCIST TANKS

Hi folks!

This is another project we have recently completed. These 3 Exorcist tanks of the Order of Our Martyred Lady belong to a much larger army we are currently painting at our level 3. We will have the gallery ready in a few days some stay tuned! This new model is much better compared to the old one when we talk about the building process. We have also enjoyed a lot all the new details that these tanks come such as the pilots, the organ or the cherubs flying around.

Full single gallery here: https://www.whiteweaselstudio.com/en/portfolio/sisters-of-battle-exorcist-tanks/

Hope you like them guys! Any comment is always welcome. And please be very careful these weeks!

ADEPTA SORORITAS ARMY

Hi folks!

We keep fighting against the virus (and Nurgle) with fire and faith, as these Sisters of Battle will do in the battlefield once they are delivered to our customer. Yes! Our last project is this massive Adepta Sororitas army that we have painted at our level 3/5 in the classic order of the Martyred Lady scheme. There are however some changes, specially affecting to St Celestine. Gold is always nice but our customer wanted for her something more adapted to the army colours. We have tried to bring a grym darkness look using very extreme contrasts between the wings, the armour and the flaming sword. Of course without forgetting other important details such as the parchments or the glowing eyes.

You will also find all the characters released in the last Sisters of battle wave such as Junith Eruthia, a Hospitalier (one of favourite models of this army) and of course the Triumph of St. Katherine, an amazing diorama that along with Celestine are the only 2 miniatures painted at our level 4/5 of this order.

Hope you guys enjoy the gallery!! Any comment is always welcome.

GLOOMSPITE GITZ ARMY

Hi folks,

We are working from our facilities again which has allowed us to complete our very last commission: a huge Gloomspite Gizt army containing many different troops. It has been painted at our Colonel level 4/5 and it has a great load of tiny and different details.

Our customer had in the first place a prepainted Squig army but he was very disappointed with its look. He wanted to change the scheme it already had and apply more quality using brighter colours, having more variety and adding some characters and elite units. If you pay attention at the gallery you will see that Grots have different skins, none of the clothes have a single color and their faces are pretty detailed: red noses, purple or turquoise lips, malevolent glowing eyes and some simple freehands on their hoods. He especially likes the Gobbapalooza shamans along with the Loonking, the Loonshrine and the Dankhold Troggoth.

For the basing he also wanted a pretty varied theme, with some earth to represent the bottom of a cave but adding some cobble texture, tufts, skulls, glowing mushrooms and even some yellow touches.

After some months of work, specially due to the covid outbreak, we have finally been able to complete this army. Hope you like it and any comment is always welcome! ;)

NIGHT LORDS ARMY

Hi guys,

Glad to be back here with a new commission carried out by our team. This time we move to Warhammer 30K where the Night Lords were still a loyal Space Marine Legion. This is the era that our customer has chosen for his army. In this case we have painted 3x10 Terror Squads along with 15 FW Night Raptors. The army is also composed by an Apotechary and a Praevian with 2 Castellax Battle Automatas, all painted at our level 3/5.

Classic Night Lords color scheme with lightning freehands on the armor including some showy glowing effect on the Volkite Calivers. Our customer decided to deploy his troops in a snowy planet.

TOR GARADON PRIMARIS IMPERIAL FISTS ARMY

Hi folks,

Primaris Space Marines is one of the most common factions in our studio. Every month there are several projects involving the Angels of Death of the Emperor but this one has been special. This Imperial Fists army is mainly composed by Primaris Marines but there are also several Tactical units. Why it is so special then you will be probably wondering? Most of the characters and figures belong to the exclusive Space Marine Heroes series released by Games Workshop!

These models provide to each unit and to the whole army a lot of variety. Besides our customer decided to choose an advanced painting starndard (Colonel level 4/5) which allowed us to apply many different battle damage and dust effects. We have also focused on the faces and minor details to create soft and progressive transitions. Finally, he wanted an urban battlefield with cracked rocks to show how resilient and tough the VII Legion is.

SALAMANDERS SUCCESSOR CHAPTER “SONS OF VULKAN”

Hi, folks

We love painting your Warhammer 40K armies so believe when I say that we have really enjoyed doing the one we bring you today.

Our customer had in mind a custom chapter, a scheme based on the Salamanders but something slightly different, especially on the vehicles. So we removed all Salamanders and flames icons and swapped them for a mythological fire breathing beast: a chinese dragon will be the perfect chapter sign. We designed some custom transfer sheets which later will be applied on all shoulder pads and vehicles. Yet we still had to decide what to do with the tanks. Rather than using the same scheme, our customer purposed the idea of applying a darker green, pretty close to the Dark Angels base color. We made a test and bingo! The combination was perfect to separate infantry and characters from the support heavy mechanized units.

Finally, the basing theme took awhile but a dark grey earth along with some brown rocks and green grass was the perfect match to enhance the models.

The result: this showy Salamanders successor chapter, the Sons of Vulkan!!

Sisters of Battle Order of the Bloody Rose army

SISTERS OF BATTLE ORDER OF THE BLOODY ROSE ARMY

The new Sisters of Battle miniatures designed by Games Workshop are amazing and many of our customers have been waiting for their release for many years. This is the case of one of our clients who booked almost the whole new range of units and characters to create this massive Adepta Sororitas army.

He is a maniac of the order of the Bloody Rose so the scheme of colours was pretty clear from the beginning. After discussing the building options we recommended several painting standards depending on the relevance of the characters within he project. The whole scenery and troops have been painted at our level 3/5 “Captain”, the characters at our 4th standard “Colonel” except for St. Celestine and the Triumph of Saint Katherine that have been painted at our highest standard 5/5 “General”. These 2 models really stand out among the rest of troops and both have unique details withing the army such as the burning sword, celestial wings, power armors painted with NMM technique, exclusive marble bases, etc.
He also wanted to locate his army in a ruined temple, as if his sisters were defending their battlesanctum.

We finally got some nice Microart Studio bases and painted them in a white marble theme with some battle damages. They match perfectly with the Bloody Rose scheme while enhance the miniatures quite a lot.

STARDRAKE AND STORMCAST ETERNALS CHARACTERS ON ALTERNATIVE SCHEME

Today we want to share a pretty challenging and different order. Normally when you think about stormcast eternals immediately comes to your mind those gold and blue warriors. Well, this scheme was not exactly what our customer was looking for…

When he introduced us his existing collection of Stormcast Eternals, our brain was completely blown away by the colour scheme he had chosen. The painting standard was pretty good and the army was painted following some very defined techniques that we would had to reply if we wanted to achieve exactly the same style and quality. Then it was decided: our “Colonel” level 4/5 would be the one we will be applying on the Celestant Prime and Lord Arcanamun on foot while our highest standard (“General”, level 5/5) will be used only on the Stardrake.

After picking the base colours for the brass, pink and blue, we ran into another difficult challenge: our customer wanted a white pearled effect for the dragon skin and wings. After several tests, we finally got that almost white metallic appearance with several airbrush lights of a very smooth and subtle brilliant colours. A generous gloss varnish layer would complete the pearled effect.

Our customer was very satisfied with the final look of his commission because we got some centerpieces for his army and a perfect match with his existing scheme. Do your like them? All your comments are welcome!

ULTRAMARINES ARMY

How is your summer going, guys?

We have been working these weeks in several projects and the last army we have completed is the following Primaris Ultramarines collection. We have some really interesting orders we will share in the coming weeks though!

The team was glad to paint a classic Games Workshop scheme for once. Our customer wanted these as a competitive army for 8th edition and chose our 3rd standard (Captain level) for the whole army. For the bases he wanted some semi desert environment with some dust effect on the legs and vehicles to provide more variety and a different ochre contrast.

Some special characters to be highlighted such as the Chief Librarian Tigurius or Marneus Calgar and his Honor Guard. Take a look at the power weapons for a nice incandescent/plasma effect too.

Warcry warbands (Unmade, Untamed Beasts, Iron Golems)

Hi, everyone!

These week our studio has been drawn to Eightparts in search of dark power and eternal glory! Of course we are talking about Warcry!

Our last commission is these Chaos warbands (Iron Golem, Untamed Beasts and Unmade) that have kept our brushes pretty busy. Our customer is a real collector of the Warcry warbands so he has dediced start painting his collection with us. He uses the miniatures to game but also wanted them to a display level because there is a showcase at home that must be filled! Having this in mind we opted for our Colonel level (4/5) to get a very nice transitions especially on the skins and armours that must be completed with some battle damage and rust effects.

The Games Worshop scheme of colours were pretty fine for him except for the Unmade. Our customer gave us some liberty to do something different and here is our proposal which he really loved. We kept the grim appearance of these cannibal killers obsessed with pain and bodily mutilation but changing the purple rags for a deep ochre yellow and using different brown layers for the leathers instead of black.

Unfortunately our customer did not hire the bases for he really like doing these at home. Pitty because otherwise the final look would have been more spectacular. What do you think guys? Do you use any of these warbands too? All comments are always welcome.

HARLEQUINS ARMY (WH40K)

Hi, everyone!

The new Warhammer 40K edition is hitting hard these days and it’s making that most of our customers are getting new units for their existing collections. Others are directly acquiring new armies such as the Harlequin battleforce we want to share with you today.

Once our customer decided the models to be painted, he created his own Masque by mixing the colors of the Midnight Sorrow and Soaring Spite masques. His aim was to be able to play with any of the two factions depending on the battle. So we did by applying many diamond patterns in blue and pink but also using yellow and black to blend both schemes. Our level 3/5 “Captain” has been perfect to get the look that our customer wanted. We have especially highlighted the vehicles and characters with some more elaborated patterns using sometimes airbrush stencils.
Our customer decided to use a simple theme for the army bases, nothing too fancy to let the models stand out by themselves. For that purpose a simple grey earth with small rocks, a few brown tufts and some dust effect have been perfect.

What do you think, people? Do you like the scheme chosen by our customer? Would you use a different combination on your Harlequin army? All your comments are always welcome.

BLUE SMAUG

Hi, everyone!

As a mercenary commission painting company, we are always eager to get interesting and challenging miniatures, those that you only paint once or twice in your lifetime. Today we are glad to share with you our last commission: Smaug the Golden from Games Workshop but not so golden this time…

When our customer contacted us he really surprised us with the color scheme he wanted to apply on such a special miniature, blue instead of red! We suspect he wanted it to play an alternative wargame because although we painted Bilbo, he did not want this model to be included in the scene. Of course the painting standard should be our highest one 5/5 “General” since such a piece of art really deserves it.

So it was decided: blue for the dragon skin, a cream/bone color for the wings and belly and a black alabaster effect for the Dwarf columns and floor of the base.
No doubt this is such an alternative Smaug. How do you find the scheme? Would you apply something different? Maybe the classic combination? Please leave your comments below!

WH40K INDOMITUS BOXED SET (SONS OF VULKAN VS NOVOKH)

How are you doing guys? We keep struggling Nurgle that is hitting our country hard with his last disease: the covid-19. And there is no better cure than focusing your mind in painting. Several Indomitus sets have come along our studio but this is one of the first we completed a few weeks ago. The Sons of Vulkan, a successor chapter from the Salamanders, must face a Necron detachment belonging to the Novokh dynasty.

This is actually an expansion of the Sons of Vulkan in order to include the new Primaris units to the large collection we have already painted for our customer. And what better scheme to create a nice contrast against the green power armors of the Space Marines? Yes, the red bodies of the Novokh dynasty. The Captain level (3/5) was applied on the Sons of Vulkans while the Necrons were painted at our Lieutenant standard (2/5) since these miniatures were going to be used only for display.

We have really enjoyed painting the new units of both factions. All characters are highly detailed and the power weapons really suit the models really well, especially on the Necrons.

Tell us people, how have you painted your Indomitus Necrons or Space Marines? All your comments are always welcome!

BLOOD ANGELS ARMY (FORGE WORLD)

Hi, everyone!

Oh sweet Lord. The project that we want to share this week is one of these you really enjoy because there are many miniatures that you know are likely you won’t paint again in your lifetime. Our customer is a Blood Angels collector since the army was released back in the 90’s. He has practically all Blood Angels models that have ever existed from both Games Workshop and Forge World. Step by step he is expanding his existing collection and painting all his models.

For this batch he decided to choose plenty of Forge World miniatures. There are several units of Crimson Paladins, a Dawnbreaker Cohort, some Praetors in different power armors, a Leviathan Dreadnought, the first captain Raldoron, an Incaendius class Contemptor Dreadnought and of course… Sanguinius, the Primarch of the Blood Angels! Pity he could not get the diorama base. Everything was painted at our level 2/5 and 3/5 following the classic Blood Angels scheme of colors and matching the basing theme of his existing army. We also completed the models with some really nice power weapon effects and some Blood Angels decals from the Forge World transfer sheet. Only Sanguinius was painted at our General standard (5/5). Such an amazing figure really deserves this level.

How do you find the army folks? We hope you like it as much as we enjoyed painting it!

LEGIO FUREANS AND LEGIO OBERON (ADEPTUS TITANICUS)

Warhammer 40K is back again at our studio but with different scale this time. The project of
this week is a nice collection of Adeptus Titanicus models composed of several titans and
beloging to two different legios: the legio Fureans and the Legio Oberon.

These models require more work than it could seem at first sight. Apart of the work on the
armor plates applied with airbrush to create these progresive transitions, we have used several stencils and masking putty in order to represent the geometric patterns that these legions use to wear. Also notice that each weapon has a different OSL effect depending on the ammunition shot or if they are overheating. The eyes of the Titans have been also highlighted with a glowing effect which enhance the models ever more. Finally Many decals have been applied in order to represent more accurately each house.

We hope you like these Titans because our level 3/5 “Captain” suits them pretty well. And
what about you? Which is your favourite Adeptus Titanicus Legion?

WH 40K MASSIVE DRUKHARI ARMY

We are approaching the end of 2020 and looking back at this year we have painted quite a lot of armies from all Warhammer 40K factions. Long time since we painted our last Drukhari order and we have to admit that this massive project has been one of the most difficult ones of the whole year.

On the one hand our customer hired our magnetization service for all vehicles which added plenty of work to our assemblers. As you can imagine all flyers and gravitic vehicles with their crews included are not easy to assemble and prepare adequately for the painting process. Besides the centerpiece of this army was a Forge World Tantalus, one of the most difficult vehicles when we talk about building Warhammer miniatures.

On the other hand, the scheme of colors was a challenging one since our customer splitted the army in two sub-factions. One would follow the Flayed Skull kabal and the other a custom Drukhari warband with a white-bone and electric blue scheme as main colors.
We have to admit that the dozens of hours invested in the project are really worth the gallery we are glad to share with you today.

What about you people, which is your favourite Drukhari kabal? How do you paint your Dark Eldars? Leave your impressions below!

ORK MASSIVE ARMY

Yes, as you can see we honored the Orktober with this massive army directly released from the guts of Mork (or maybe Gork?).

More than 250 infantry models between boyz, kommandos, gretchinz, nobz, meganobz or tankbustas among others form this huge army led by Ghazghkull Thraka himself (yes, he is somewhere in the middle of that red and green tide). To support the boyz, the speed freaks have brought all their evil vehicles such as the gargantuan Gorkanauts or the fast buggies in all their versions. There is also a mob of Warbikers, a couple of Deff Rollas and some bombers.

For such an avalanche of miniatures our customer decided a combination of our level 2/5 and 3/5 depending on the relevance of the models within the army. Our level 3 “Captain” would be applied on the largest vehicles and on the HQ units while our level 2 “Liutenat” will be used for the rest of miniatures.

Since our customer did not want to choose one single Ork sub-faction, he decided to use the Evil Sunz scheme but adding some extra touches of blue and yellow to match other possible Ork clans such as the Speed Freaks or the Death Skulls. Indeed he created such a unique army!

We hope you like this new commission. Believe me when I say that our operatives really deserved a rest after this ;)
All comments are always welcome!
