I recently bought the box set of Space Marines, which includes a Rhino. I also ordered a pair of sprues, that has all the components for the various sponsons and turret armaments. I ordered one of each type - and hence have one of each weapon. Does anyone know of a way I can convert it to allow me to swap? I play against Dark Angels, Ultramarines and Tyranids most often, and want to be able to bust tanks whilst also being able to shoot those damned genestealers at a comfortable distance.

Secondly, does this necessitate using magnets or could I use another, easier method?

Magnets are easy. I also got a Predator and I'm thinking of at least making the sponsons interchangeable in some way. If You got parts for two then it makes things a lot easier...

Either magnets or pinning them should work.

MUTR Teaching Resources - Rare Earth Magnets - Magnetism If you can get hold of these around where you live, they would work well. You just have to drill a hole in the predator body and sponsons and glue them in...however, I've never tried it so hopefully someone with a better knowledge will help, lol

It looks like I'll have to really improvise this process. I am thinking of making the sponsons and the turret be attacked to a sort of magnetized block, onto which the heavy bolter/lascannons and autocannon/twin-linked autocannons will be attached to. It won't look great, unfortunately, but it'll work well enough.
