there are no rules in the bgb about wysiwyg, nor about painting anything

1) Yep, roll to hit then roll to wound. (Unless it has a special rule like rending)

2) Do you mean does one unit of eg. guardsman have to be painted the same colour as the rest of you guardsman??? There is no rule saying what colour you have to paint your squads, but they do look better painted in the same sort of "theme". That is, a similar set of coulours used on everything.

3) & 4) Do you have the Imperial Guard Codex?? If you can't find it in there, go to the Imperial Guard Forum and post there.

5) Yes, if your lascannon fired then the rest can use their lasguns.

Welcom to the forums btw. And as much as we all wish we could just send one another the rules, we can't. Sorry mate. (thus the reason I only give page refs for general posts like these).

3) How much does cameloine cost for the imperial guard, cuz I don't see it in the codex at all.

You are probably looking in the wrong place in the codex. Cameleoline is on p.57 under Special Equipment. It is part of the Regimental Doctrines part of the codex. These are things you can do to customize your IG army. I'm guessing that you were looking in the unit descriptions or the Armory.

PS - You might be able to save a few dollars by buying a used rulebook on Ebay. Also, look for the condensed rulebook that comes with the Battle of Maccrage box set (also on Ebay), it doesn't have all the pictures and background info that the hardcover book has, but it is cheaper and has what you need to get started. You'll also need an Imperial Guard codex. If you buy one used make sure it is the latest version (black cover). Good luck and welcome!
