About:
I've played Bretonnians in fantasy but was thinking of trying my hand at 40k.
List is a bit fluffy keeping the whole fast moving/deep striking theme of Raven Guard in mind.
So any help would be appreciated. Plan on basically close combat rushing or deep striking right into the baddies.

Ok, so I've parred down the number of troops and points to 1499pts and revamped the list so that it's a bit closer to the fluff and is actually legal. Again sticking with the same traits.

Not enough tac squads. Drop the snipers, take another tac squad.

Oh and don't master craft sniper rifles. You hit on 2s, MC is a waste.

Any more tac squads in this list would have to be fielded without drop pods since all three fast attack slots have been filled up at this time. (Remember that the drawback the Raven Guard use has drop pods take up fast attack slots; something which, surprisingly, makes sense for them.)

Heh yeah I play ultramarines, so I don't use traits. But that is a bloody bad trait for a Raven Guard army.

I still think that there's too few tac marines. Tac squads are a marine army's bread and butter.

Oh and that land speeder squadron is all strange. I'd say make them all assault cannon heavy bolter, but that'd be a bit too many points probably.

Dropping the MC snipers and Terminator Honours for the scout squads would free up enough points for an all HB+AC Tornado group plus some change. I'm not too enthusiastic about losing the scouts since they play into the fluff pretty well. Working in another tac squad with a drop pod might kill the unit/point balance right now. Would have to strip down the assault squads and bump the other one into elites (adding furious charge). Are they all that essential or could I get away with just the one?

You could probably get away with just one. You're army is going to be a hard one to win with though, so expect defeat until you hit on a rythme.
