Ok I've come up with an army list so that I know what to buy next. This is meant to be an army that can fight effectively against as much armies as possible. Also, this is for further tournaments.

----HQ----
Deceiver 300
Lord (SoL, VoD) 160

----Elites----
7 Immortals 196

----Troops----
10 Warriors 180
10 Warriors 180
10 Warriors 180

----Fast Attack----
3 Destroyers 150
3 Destroyers 150

----------
Total: 1496
PO: 11
To Kill: 33

I'm not sure how well this would do against Tyranids but then again they are pretty difficult to beat without a specialist army. Also, is there too little melee units? Give your opinions please.

Hmm... Any changes i could suggest will involve dropping 10 Warriors. How do you feel about them?

Basically get in some Flayed Ones and Scarabs instead.

Flayed ones could work...though I never really liked them because they're kinda slow. Scarabs would just decrease the phase out which is never good.

Perhaps a monolith and scarabs instead of Mr.D?

Perhaps. I think a Lith would benefit you a lot, but i wasn't going to advise one AND a C'tan at just 1.5K.

Flayed ones arent exactly slow, they can infiltrate, move through cover, and if combined with being teleported through the Lith Portal then they be quite a nice shock assault unit. Look at dropping 10 Warriors for 2 units of 5 Flayed Ones.

As far as "scarabs lowering phase out" goes I'm gonna say to look at it from a different angle. Scarabs are a cheap unit, with plenty of wounds and lots of speed. They're great for just rushing the enemy, who will either redirect their fire to kill the scarabs instead of your necrons, or ignore them until the scarabs charge and then your opponent has lost a unit for the next round or so (possibly loosing them for the game) I've had scarabs save me from PO before by tying up a squad of GKs that tried to sneak up on my Flying Circus.

On the otherhand, flayed ones are also very good, and as pheonix said, don't overlook their abilities when you consider speed, I've had mine into CC by round 2 before.

Against Nids It's a tough call, you'd need to make sure your flayed ones got the charge, and I may even just field a full squad of 10 so they're harder to take down. Scarabs are nice to use for tying up gaunts, 'stealers and such. (nothing too big S6 hits send them packing)

Yeh I like that idea. Drop 10 warriors for 2 squads of 5 FOs and no Mr.D for Lith and some Scarabs.

Thanks guys
