Nah, I don't think so. It says teh HQ's officer and I think it's refferring to the officer you buy with the squad.
Actually, I think it might take the Ld of whoever the superior officer is. Otherwise, there wouldn't be a point of putting commissar's in Hq's. I think the supporting fluff is that even if it is determined by the JO and not Creed, the JO is freaking out because Creed is watching him and works twice as hard.

Actualy, Abraham, the Commissar just gives +1Ld to your officer until he is made the commanding officer by default (ie. he killed the other guy). So I would agree in fact that the leader of the command squad would take priority.
Hmmm Is Creed even a Commissar?

If he is then you would go with the squad leader’s leadership I would have thought, as the Commissar’s presence will not be ‘felt’ down a vox-link.

I was under the impression that Creed was the 8th Cadian Regiment’s Commander and so shouldn’t he be taken as the officer in the Command HQ squad? I don’t do the whole special character thing.

No, Mortison. He isn't a Commissar and he can't be directly assigned a command squad. He is an independant character - meaning he can still join one, however, he would not take command of that squad and the Master Vox would still use the leadership value of the officer in command of that squad.

The point I was making was in response to Abraham - who said that the most senior officer would take command, his example being the commissar. However the commissar does not automaticaly take command, he just has a special rule that conveys a Ld bonus.

Bottom line is that (unless I am reading the Vox rules wrong) Creed could never convey his Ld down a vox.
Oh yeah. I skipped the part about the vox. He's right, only the Officer's Ld goes through the vox.
A junior officer with honoirifica imperialis gives you boosted leadership which does go through the vox...AND the commissar does add leadership down the vox if he is in the squad with the officer. it's in FAQs.

leadership 10 to surrounding troops and down the vox. (master vox would let you use moral over and over in the same turn)

Command Squad:
-Heroic Senior officer OR Jr Officer w/HonorificaImperialis
-Commissar
-4 Guardsmen 1 with vox or master vox
you jsut gave LD 10 to surrouding leadership tests and master vox confers Ld 10 as well
