Hello my fellow Skavenblight denizens, I've finally over the course of 3 months been able to have several games against both their new books. I've been keeping toe to toe with the lizards (2-2-3) only really having success when I shut down their magic and I mean tailor my list to shut it down. Their new bastiladon luckily hasn't caused to much trouble but when it ties my rats up it ties them up for the whole game. Thinking that (funnily enough) a clan pestilents approach maybe better suited to brining that down. BUT now to the real issue....

Dark elves have been slaughtering me (1-5-1). I just can't out maneuver them and they are so capable of MSU that my tarpits are getting destroyed (hellbrone and witch elves with cauldron is just mean). The karyibdyss is also a very tough cookie to crack and my one win comes from my doomwheel at the last possible chance zapped it into oblivion. Has anyone had better luck with the new Delves? I tend to play a pretty balanced list that has suited me well for a while now (2 40 man clan blocks, 2 Dwheels, Abom, Rat ogers x9, grey seer, so on so forth) but that army can just spread me out so well. Any suggestions?

I know it's been a while since you posted but here's my quick thoughts-

Use the plague catapult? Should do great against mass elves, and with the plague spell reducing their T value it should make you opponent squeal like a skaven slave!

Maybe try the warp cannon? Good against monsters (provided you roll high S values).

Try a unit of night runners coming in behind them with the warp drill to get a back charge?

Hope this helps, ps I've always had a tough time with dark elves too.

1. WLCs should take out, their monsters and chariots.

2. If it still stands, the HPA still has the highest "I" of any monster, in warhammer. Wouldn't hurt, to pit it against their opposing monsters.

3. Try to crush their units, under your doomwheel.

4. I'd invest in some RGs, WFTs, and maybe jezzails.

Any chance, that you can post, a rough list of their force?
