Some (more) questions...

Hello everyone
I stopped playing ogres for a while, but have decided to start again...
My question is, do you guys ever find it a problem when the butcher has ironguts for a bodyguard and has to be in the front rank (ie. the fighting rank) because I find it really annoying that he takes up room that could be taken up with S6 attacks from an Irongut. Also, do you guys think I could get away with not having a bodyguard for the butcher? (as long as I keep him behind the rest of my units but close enough to cast magic) and have the ironguts attack on their own, without the butcher? Also, how do you guys deal with keeping large units of butcher safe from cannons and stone throwers and the like? Do they just take it?

It could seem like this, but I would rather have him in the front rank of the unit, and here's why: How could he use a bangstick?

Keeping him close by whould seem like something decent to do, but if the unit turns tail, 2 things will happen:

1 --> He will panic using his poor leadership of 7.

2 --> He will now be left in the open to be shot/charged/ or magically destroyed.

A butcher will also get cought by fast cavalry and flyers behind th enemy lines.
