Hey y'allz. I've recently designed my next army and I need some serious imput, I dont think the SM army list section will help me with that so I decided to post it here.

My main conclusion with this list is Cc and Shooting. (All vs mob armies like IG and ORKS)

Since BT's really dont have a scout selection they've got neophytes and special rules, which
I hope to use a ton and practice and do some more tweaking. I've designed this list as
a crusading force with some excellent variables. So if you dont mind, I woulndt mind a
Regular SM's point of view, and some imput from all y'all BT playas.

For this list I decided to go With the BT special Rule "Suffer Not The Unclean To Live"
for my chapter vow. Should help slaughter orks and Nobs, Neophytes should come in
handy with cannon fodder and against Choppas. I've selected three squads for this.

For the brunt of my list is my terminator command section and my elite section. I hope to
use this as a deterent against large monstors, with rending weapons and gernades to blow
cover save.

I do admit this is a fluffy list, but I hope to keep the same characteristics of a BT crusading
Force. I will now introduce the crusade of Templar Champions.

you made a few mistakes when making this list.

You can´t have pistols when in Terminator armour. You can only take items marked with an astrixs "*".

Dreadnought Damien has a multi melta which is an Imeperial armour variant and needs permission to use. I would take the DCCW & assault cannon configuration instead for this one.

Now the tweaking.

I would give your scouts CCW & BP because shotgun ain´t worth even thinking about and the CCW gives you an extra attack if they make it in close combat.

Trow your heavy weapons away and take special weapons instead. BT squads aren´t good in hold there position. one dead marine in there squad will make them run to the enemy which will take you in open space.

Replace the normal LRC with an predator annihilator w/ lascannons and extra armour this way you have a nice fire support.

you might find it handy to give you dreadnought Lucious a missile launcher and the tank hunter skill.

Give the LRC of your crusader squad to your terminator command squad together with blessed hull and smoke launchers.

I thought an LRC would be good for mass armies, hurricane bolters multi melta, and a
assault cannon.

Whats a DCCW weapon? never heard of it before.

What kind of specialist weapons would you recomend?

And lastly what would you reccomend for the MS Chaplain?

a land raider crusader is good against almost every thing but 2 in a 2k army is pretty much for my point of view. I would rather take an assault squad instead.

A DCCW is a dreadought close combat weapon.

For the special weapons I would recommend melta gun and plasma gun because the meltagun give you an backup plan when your tank fails and your men are advancing along. Well the plasma is quite obvious 2 plasma gun shots aren´t nice.
Also you might want to consider some power fists in your squad so that a Wraithlord or other pesty high toughness creature doens´t tie up a squad with a certainty of winning.

Well my chaplin is always haevily armoured so that means he get Artificer armour and his rosarius. I give him a Bolt pistol because of the extra attack and a plasmapistol is way to expensive. One thing I always give is terminator honour no matter how many points I play he get it.
I give him a jump pack because he´s going to fly along with my assault squad and then charge into the most dangerous unit.

I've been pondering about what to equip my chaplain with and i've found a really
nasty combination. Rules state that I may take two power swords (they are single
handed weapons)

I'll keep the terminator squad as is.

And I'll change the neophyte squads to CC ability with that extra attack.

Great any other info? Whats the survivability rating of this army?

Why not take the free Crozius with a BP with all the other stuff you put on your list? Having the plasma pistol you run the chance, however small, that you will have your Chappie blow himself up. I don't know much about BT, so I can't really help you with most of your list. Perhaps a tele homer for your command squad?

Teleport homer eh? Nice idea.

I've already switched the weapons around on the Chappie.

the bolt pistol is really the best weapon for IC because a plasma gun is way too expensive. I would recommend the teleport homer for the veterans and let them infiltrate and then try to make points free for 2 assault cannons in the command squad.

Can't do an Iron Halo with a Rosarius....

Hi all

Looks like a solid list.

Here's a few ideas to make it a killer.

You have 30 Initiates and 15 neophytes. A much better squad organisation would be

5I - 1N Power Fist + Meltagun
5I - 1N Power Fist + Meltagun
5I - 1N Power Fist + Meltagun
5I - 4N Power Fist + Meltagun
5I - 4N Power Fist + Meltagun
5I - 4N Power Fist + Meltagun

If you want 1 big squad in the LRC then just collapse two together and remove 1 PF and MG.
There are about 10 reasons why small squads are better than big squads. (more AT weapons, claiming objectives, target selection, deployment options etc)

Forget about the Heavy Bolters. BT are a mobile assault army.

A standard dreadnaught with assault cannon is the best option. It's a much better feeling to roll 4 dice than just 1. You have about a 50% chance of getting a ST 12 hit. So the Assault cannon makes a pretty good AT gun.

The equipment choice on the swordbrethren is interestering. A powerfist would be a good option.

It may be worth considering swapping the Terminators with the Sword Brethren. Ie. have the Sword Brethren as the command squad. You could get some interesting options on them. You could probably even squeeze in a second HQ and go for an infiltrating Chaplain or Marshall.

You have spent about 200 points on crusader seals and grensades. This is a huge point sink. Get rid of them and you could afford a few land speeders or another terminator squad.
